In this series about the Steem Blockchain game, which is free by the way, called SPLINTERLANDS, I am documenting my experiences as I play and progress into the higher ranking leagues. Hopefully this will help others along in their journey into the Splinterlands as well.

My last post in this series, End of Season, Release The Kraken, spoke about the rewards that come at the end of each 15 day season in the game. I explain how battling your way into higher ranks reaps you more rewards at the end of the season, with each leap higher in rank increasing the amount of cards you will receive as a reward at the end of the season.

Today I want to talk about the daily rewards that can be achieved playing the Steem Blockchain Game called SPLINTERLANDS. About every twenty four hours, the game offers you a Quest, or challenge to complete, at the end of which comes with a reward. Again, the higher you are in the league rankings, the bigger the reward at the end of each quest.

Both daily rewards as well as a nice season end rewards is a brilliant way to keep players motivated and interested in returning daily to the game. The game itself is fun and challenging while possibly making for an interesting investment in time and money. Well now it seems the Daily Quests, and possibly the End of Season Rewards as well, have something called Loot Chests.

I knew something looked different when I logged into Splinterlands to engage in some battles in order to complete my daily quest. I noticed that in the battle page there was now a treasure chest icon, where normally it displayed your current season highest league level. I believe it also displayed how many Splinter cards you would be receiving at the end of the season. Now it just has your highest level achieved with a treasure chest icon called a Loot Chest.

After many battles I finally completed my daily quest. I anxiously clicked on the "Claim" button to claim by hard fought for rewards. This time when I clicked the button, I noticed that I received some Splinter cards as usual, but then it also had a different icon now as well. The icon signified that I had also been rewarded 7 Legendary Potions as well. This is a new feature now in the SPLINTERLANDS game, which I think is great.

Now next time I receive rewards, with these newly rewarded Legendary Potions, I increase my chances of receiving a Legendary Splinter card. In fact, for each card reward, each potion will double my chance of receiving a Legendary Splinter Card. Battling for those potions is definitely worth it, and will be used after my next daily quest.

Who knows what else the Loot Chests hold?
