Why Doctor Blight is Good News For Splinterlands' Future
While some have voiced displeasure or disappointment with the arrival of Doctor Blight and his proposed card stats, I believe Doctor Blight is just what the game needs. Check out the video above to find out my fundamental reason why.

Yeah power creep is a problem. I agree that this new card is powerful but not too powerful. It is a 4 mana cost card.
It is probably better at higher levels, gold or higher, BUT another magic option for silver is also nice. A good match for Delwyn or Alric in the wild format.

Great comparison with Star Wars force collection and how Splinterlands is controlling power creep!
Thanks! I've seen a similar scenario of power creep and subsequent mass player exodus play out with Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes. Although not always popular, maintaining game balance is probably the #1 priority of an established game development team in order to continue player growth. Splinterlands, from what I can tell, takes game balance and testing seriously, which I can definitely appreciate.
