Chaos Has Begun

It's been a long time coming, but Chaos Legion is finally here!! When I started playing Splinterlands, Untamed had long since sold out. This left me with little choice but to shop the secondary market for cards to hold me over until I could open packs of my own. Of course, there's pros to being able to just pick up the cards you need to complete your strategy, but I just doesn't have that je ne sais quoi, that thrill, that anticipation of opening up a pack of your very own, hoping to find something valuable and helpful to you.

As a fairly new player, I was able to earn a whopping 0.003 vouchers per drop at the very beginning. That eventually rose to 0.006 vouchers near the end, as I earned and staked more SPS. That was not going to be enough to get a pack in presale. However, I was determined to get at least one. With some saavy market maneuvering, I traded (and bought my way to a voucher), trying to time market swings to get the very best value for an already overvalued voucher. But I did it, I got my one. And with that I was able to by my CL pack. Spoiler alert: I did not get a Dr. Blight, although, that would have been amazingly lucky.

I've waited a long time for this... Here are the results of my very first Splinterlands card pack and my first jump into the Chaos:

Here goes nothing...

First up, Sunkai Harvester. A common life card with reach. Nothing too exciting, but I can see some use for him.

Next we've got my first Rare of Chaos Legion and only my second owned summoner, after buying Mylor... I present Tarsa. Should be a pretty solid summoner and one I definitely hope to be able to level up.

Third is Diemonshark. Another rare card with trample at Lv. 1. I haven't yet had the pleasure of using trample, so I look forward to seeing how I can maximize this card

Following up next I've got Chaos Knight. Another common life card that starts off with the Shield ability. Could come in handy especially with no magic/reduced magic rulesets

Finally, we finish up with Deeplurker. A common water card with Opportunity, 3 melee attack, and 6 health to start with. I could see this card being very useful in higher mana battles.

Well there you have it, my first and hopefully far from last card pack here in Splinterlands. It's not the most exciting pack, but I did get 2 rares (1 more than what's guaranteed) so I can't complain too much. I also know I didn't discuss anything beyond level 1 because I'm not sure when I'll be able to get enough cards to level them up. Anyway, enough chatting here with me, time to head into the game and try out my new cards. Please feel free to comment your thoughts on what I pulled or on Chaos Legion in general. Or brag about the awesome cards you pulled and show them off. Thanks for stopping by.

An epic and 3 rares is not bad at all. If I were to have the same luck, that would mean I'd get an epic and rare in my next pack. I would absolutely take it. Congrats!
