It's another week and so another opportunity to participate in the SHARE YOUR BATTLE CHALLENGE. This time around I am hyped to share my battle because the element, Life, is one of my most played and the theme monster is one of my favorites. Let's get right into the chaos with the Pelacor Arbalest.

THE PELACOR ARBALEST

Alright so the Pelacor Arbalest has some pretty average stats. At 6 mana, he starts off with a 2x damage, 2x speed and 2x health. The speed and damage get increased to 3x at levels 4 and 7 respectively. This guy's health also gets buffed until it gets to a max of 5. Pretty basic right? You can say that but this guy's abilities makes him a really good addition on the field.

Right off the bat, the Pelacor Arbalest has the Double Strike ability which makes him pretty deadly. This monster's 4x damage is especially deadly in the lower leagues. At level 5, his wings mature and he gains the Flying ability. This makes him a really deadly force to put at the back.

For this battle, I would be using the Pelacor Arbalest at level 4.

Strategy

There's really no special strategy. The goal is what it has always been; Do Not Lose! Let's see what I come up with...

I have the chance to use my Grandmaster Rathe card for this battle. The only buffs I am interested in for this battle are the +1 Armor and the Void Armor. I need to protect my tank from any sort of attack and this void armor does the job really well.

To ensure that every attack that is not a scattershot goes for the frontline, I decided to use Shieldbearer as a Tank for his Taunt ability. Rathe's void armor will make Shieldbearer a tough one to get through. Of course, he will get some support but we will get to that.

In second place is Bila The Radiant because she can serve as a second tank if the need arises. By the time she gets to the first position, she should have additional health from her leeching. Her Divine Shield will also protect her from initial damage.

Why Uraeus? Because I needed a monster with sneak. One thing that annoys me in a battle is pesky monsters at the back. Uraeus will deal with them for me.

I mentioned that Shieldbearer would get some support. Well, Adelade is the first of that support. This winged lady will repair Shieldbearer's void armor every round. If Shieldbearer is taken out, she will resurrect him once with complete void armor. That will be a pain in the behind for the enemy.

Shieldbearer's next support if the really underrated Venari Crystalsmith. As Adelade repairs the tank's shield, Crystalsmith will heal him up. Together, they can keep Shieldbearer alive for a really long time.

At the back is the star of today's battle. With the double strike, this guy can cause 4 damage in one round. Let's see if he does well today.

Round 1:

• The Summoners start with the respective buffs. The enemy uses Time Mage to slow my monsters down.
• All my monsters attack the enemy's Shieldbearer and then Bila lands the fatal blow.
• All of the enemy's monsters also attack my Shieldbearer but don't take him out in the first round.
• Brightwing restores some of Shieldbearer's armor.
• The Shieldbearer ends the round by causing a x2 damage on Chaos Knight.

Round 2:

• The enemy's monster begin to attack Shieldbearer again but Cyrstalsmith heals him up a bit.
• The enemy's Pelacor Arbalest takes down Shieldbearer but Brightwing resurrects him.
• Portal Spinner throws her scattershot at Crystalsmith before Uraeus destorys her armor.
• Brightwing restores Shield bearer's armor and takes down Chaos Knight.

Round 3:

• Time Mage, Luminous Eagle and Pelacor Arbalest attack Shield bearer. Portal Spinner throws her blade at Uraeus. These would be the last attacks from the enemy.
• My Pelacor Arbalest takes out Luminous Eagle after missing once and hitting the second time.
• Brightwing kills Time Mage with one magic ball.
• Bila leaches on the other Pelacor Arbalest's last health making hers 10.
• Shieldbearer destroys Portal Spinner and ends the battle.
  DEFEATED!

Victory!

Synergy equals sustenance. My team was able to stay alive until the end because of the synergy and support that was provided. It's just a simple teamwork trick that helped me out in this battle.

Did My Strategy Work?

Yes of course! The Shieldbearer and Rather combo really helped to defend against most of the attacks. Also, the support from Brightwing and Crystalsmith really helped to keep the tank alive right until the end of the battle.

Do I like the Pelacor Arbalest

Honestly did not like this guy in the past because my opponents kept using him against me. Ever since I started to use him though, he has become a very important part of most life teams I come up with. I absolutely love that double strike ability he possess especially as a range monster.
