The value of a card is tightly connected to their stat and their abilities. Any card with monstrous stats without the ability to attack from the backline are suited as a tank. Cards that have low-to-mid stats, on the other hand, that can attack anywhere are best positioned somewhere in the backline as a damage dealer.

One of the gladius cards that recently caught my attention is Trapp Falloway. It is classified as an epic card, yet it cannot attack anywhere unless positioned in front. Its defense, however, can be classified under the low- or mid-tier. Its ability weaken, which reduces the health of all enemy is usually assigned for support cards that are usually protected within the back.

At a glance, I am sure that a lot of players would question if Trapp Falloway is indeed worthy of being classified as an epic card. This has also been in mind as soon as I got him. This made me think of the possible situations where he can be deployed efficiently.

Looking at him wielding a dagger, I realized that Trapp Falloway is an assassin that would never fight in the front lines. Assassins are backstabbing individuals that are usually hidden waiting for the perfect opportunity to take down an enemy with the most efficient strike. This made me realize the following opportunities that would make Trapp Falloway the perfect assassin.

1. Melee Mayhem

The melee mayhem enables any melee attackers to attack the opponents’ front line even if they normally don’t have the ability to. This rulesets gives Trapp Falloway the capability to attack without the need of being positioned in front.

One thing to take note in this case, however, is that front line is usually heavily defended. Let us also consider the possibility of the opponent countering any melee attackers with thorns.

2. Super Sneak

This is similar with the melee mayhem, but instead of melee attackers attacking the front, it would be the very back.

The same can be said with the defense too. It can be easily defended. Might even be heavily defended if it is a high mana battle.

One thing that may prevent the opponent from heavily defending the back is the possibility that we might not be utilizing this ruleset. The thought of encountering magic and or ranged attackers may make the opponent focus more of their defense in the front lines.

Either way, expect any sort of defense or counter at the back when utilizing this ruleset. Let us not forget our front lines too.

3. Equal Opportunity

This ruleset temporarily grants all cards or monsters on the battlefield the opportunity ability. This would make all of them target the monster with the lowest health on the opposing team.

Monsters with the opportunity is not as easy to be defended against at as compared to most abilities.

Out of all the instances that I’ve listed here, I would say that this is the most effective opportunity for Trapp Falloway.

Let us not forget that Trapp Falloway is also a gladius card that gets more powerful for every opponent that it takes down.

4. Little League or Low Mana Cap

The little league ruleset limits the monsters that can be used in battle, enabling only those with mana requirement of 4 and lesser. Trapp Falloway is one of them.

Cards or monsters with low mana requirement generally has low health, thin armor and low attack power. This makes Trapp Falloway very valuable as we can use him as a tank plus his weaken ability will reduce the already low health of the opposing team. Just make sure that he will not be taken down first. His high speed may make him attack first and have a bloodlust, but don’t rely too much on it.

The low mana cap, on the other hand, is very similar to little league with the exception of being able to summon monsters with more than 4 mana. As long as we don’t exceed the mana cap. We can also deploy Trapp Falloway in the first position here. But we must be wary of the possibility of the opponent deploying a massive tank that can easily crush him.

5. Equalizer.

This ruleset may not be the most valuable opportunity for Trapp Falloway but it can level the ground by making all the monsters health equal. Depending on other factors, such as additional ruleset and activated elements, this may warrant the deployment of Trapp Falloway as a tank.

Conclusion:

Trapp Falloway may have above average melee attack and speed given that it only requires 4 mana to be summoned. On contrary, his usage is normally limited as he cannot attack anywhere unless deployed on the front line.

As an assassin, however, the mana cap and rulesets can give him the perfect opportunity to take down the opponent one at a time.

Remember that combinations of the above instances may also provide Trapp Falloway the opportunity he is made for as an assassin.
