My Splinterlands Blog #103 - The Short Post-Splinterfest Season

avatar

While I just finished my Splinterfest article, the season also just ended! I missed several days of play due to my trip, but I'll just do a (relatively) brief update to cover the few additional days that made up the rest of the season. I'll write a bit about the latest news at the end, but going to jump right into the weekly breakdown:

Daily Quest Rewards:

Daily Quest # 754. Got Disable Focus. I received 0.0263 Splintershards (SPS), 67 Merits, and a Pelacor Bandit (common monster). This was after returning from Splinterfest.

InvestYGator got Water Focus. I got 1.127 (1.074 + 0.053) SPS, 6 Merits, 2 Legendary potions, and 4 (3 + 1) Gold potions.

Daily Quest # 755. Got Defend Focus. I earned 1.338 (0.57 + 0.216 + 0.552) SPS, 44 (22 + 22) Merits, 12 Legendary potions, 8 Gold potions, a Pealcor Deceiver (common monster), and a Venari Bonesmith (rare monster).

InvestYGator got Earth Focus. I got 0.427 (0.034 + 0.042 + 0.351) SPS, 6 (2 + 2 + 2) Legendary potions, 8 (3 + 2 + 3) Gold potions, 9 Merits, a Vampire Bat (common monster), and a Pelacor Mercenary (common monster).

Daily Quest # 756. Got Healing Focus. I received 1.656 (1.194 + 0.462) SPS, 10 Gold potions, a Pelacor Bandit, a Twilight Basilisk (rare monster), a Venari Bonesmith, a Vulgine (rare monster), and 2 Venari Wavesmiths (rare monster).

InvestYGator got Life Focus. I got 0.996 (0.038 + 0.853 + 0.051 + 0.054) SPS, 19 Merits, 10 (3 + 3 + 1 + 3) Legendary potions, 3 (2 + 1) Gold potions, and an Ever-Hungry Skull (common monster).

Daily Quest # 757. Got Buffs Focus and Diamond chests at the last day. I received 11.184 (4.513 + 3.602 + 3.069) SPS, 134 Merits, 13 Legendary potions, 18 Gold potions, a Merdhampir (common monster), and a gold foil Pelacor Bandit!

InvestYGator got Anti Magic Focus. I got 2.275 (0.293 + 0.297 + 0.041 + 1.451 + 0.068 + 0.032 + 0.093) SPS, 1 Legendary potion, 1 Gold potion, 25 (6 + 19) Merits, an Ever-Hungry Skull, and a Dhampir Infiltrator (rare monster).

I also opened one Riftwatchers pack:

While the cards are generally nice ones, nothing too exciting in the scheme of things.

Guild Brawls:

Guild Brawl #108, playing Bronze League Gold Foil Only. I had a pretty great run, but the guild still came in second to last place due to lack of participation.

Vs. WYATTEARP of TEAM POSSIBLE DIAMOND

Vs. SWOLLBROHAM of NFT GAMING & COLLECTIBLES

Vs. ASSISTAN-KUN of THE GRAND PRAETORIAN ARMY

Vs. JOVAK of T&A LEGION III

Vs. H05T1L3-0M3G4R3D of RACOONS OF THE NORTH

Vs. WOOFIE of ELECTRONZ

Vs. YS1409 of PLAN B

The Rest:

No tournaments or trading in the few days left after Splinterfest. I did decide to try something new for next season, and went back to jumping my InvestYGator account up to Gold just to get them next season as my seasonal rewards. The general quality of rewards in Silver chests has been worse than Gold from my main. Getting out of Gold to Diamond still remains pretty difficult, though I did also miss a few days of play this season that probably made it harder.

At any rate, here are the rewards from my InvestYGator Silver league account:

Spoiler, this one Epic card is probably the best reward I got. Sadly nothing too exciting out of a lot of chests this season on my alt.

Here are the Diamond chests from my main account, though I mostly played in Gold.

A much better haul in terms of SPS and at least a single pack.

Not the best end of season, but missing a few days of plays probably didn't help. The upcoming season is a long one, so hopefully I'll be able to get back into Diamond a bit earlier. Also curious how the higher quality, but lower quantity, of Gold chests on my alt will play out.

The current item of news is an upcoming vote to further reduce rewards if you play cards that are leveled 2 leagues below the current league. As an example, if you were playing Bronze level cards in Silver league you would get full rewards, but you would get penalized if you were playing in Gold league. The goal is to try to make it more profitable to combine cards, rather than play lots of low-level accounts - or, more of an issue, run tons of lower league bots.

The Riftwatcher set first promo air drop should also be coming out next season, as well as some of the additional air drops that were voted in for holding Land or Tower Defense packs. The soccer game the company is putting out is also going to have a presale starting next week, though we'll see how much money and interest there is after all the other sales that just happened. There is also the Runi minting coming out soon, as well as the promo card sale from Splinterfest.

Most of the team that attended, on stage at the end of Splinterfest.

I was kind of expecting the card to be on sale at the event, but I guess with so much else all getting done around the same time, it got bumped back. At any rate, I think I'll leave things there. Thank you for reading and I'll be back in about an actual week this time with my next update!

I am curious about the last paragraph. Are they selling physical Splinterlands cards as collectible at the event (Or supposed to, since they didn't do so)?

I meant I expected Lux Vega to go on sale at Splinterfest :D They did have physical packs of cards available at Splinterfest, though most of those were "swag" for attending.
