My Splinterlands Blog #110 – 100 Seasons in Splinterlands and Returning From Vacation

Welcome to another article where I write about my journey playing Splinterlands! Astute readers may have noticed that I didn't publish a mid-season article last week. I was actually away for a solid week visiting my folks before the holidays, as I'll be spending the actual holidays with my wife's family. At any rate, the travel and holiday preparations didn't really lend themselves to writing up an article last week.

Since I've got a ton of results to write up, I'll try to be fairly brief on my other meanderings. Some of the biggest changes to the game were that Runi finally became playable this past Tuesday, the Legendary water summoner for Chaos Legion was released, and a holiday promo card was released! Two new rules sets were also introduced, one giving all monsters Cripple and the other giving all monsters Amplify. Some minor Land stuff was released, but nothing that really impacts game play for some time there.

Apologies for the giant data dump, but here's the breakdown of the past season:

Daily Quest Rewards:

Daily Quest # 804. Got Defend Focus with Diamond chests from the end of the previous season. I received 2.875 (1.553 + 1.322) Splintershards (SPS), a Pelacor Conjurer, and an Ever-Hungry Skull.

InvestYGator, my Silver league alternate account, got Exploits Focus. I got 0.772 (0.056 + 0.179 + 0.297 + 0.067 + 0.079 + 0.047 + 0.047) SPS, 6 Merits, 4 (2 + 2) Gold potions, and a Blood Maker.

Daily Quest # 805. Got Fire Focus and back to Gold league. I received 4.890 (0.46 + 1.904 + 2.526) SPS and 56 Merits.

InvestYGator got Life Focus. I got 3 (2 + 1) Gold potions, 2 Legendary potions, a Vampiric Blossom, and an Exploding Rats.

Daily Quest # 806. Got Defend Focus. I received 56 Merits, 4 Gold potions, 9 Legendary potions, a Blood Maker, and an Ever-Hungry Skull.

The new Water summoner for Chaos Legion is a melee buffing one. I only got one copy, and haven't played with it yet.

InvestYGator got Flying Focus. I got 3 Gold potions, a Merdhampir, a Gargoya Lion, a Pelacor Conjurer, and an Exploding Rats.

Daily Quest # 807. Got Fire Focus. I received 0.524 (0.243 + 0.281) SPS, 18 (11 + 7) Legendary potions, and a Chaos Legion pack!

InvestYGator got Stealth Focus. I got 3 Gold potions, a Blood Maker, a Vampire Bat, a Pelacor Deceiver, and a Uraeus!

Daily Quest # 808. Got Death Focus. I received 0.801 (0.389 + 0.412) SPS, 4 Gold potions, a Venari Heatsmith, and a Merdhampir.

InvestYGator got Anti Melee Focus. I got 0.557 (0.095 + 0.08 + 0.382) SPS, 2 (1 + 1) Legendary potions, and 50 (15 + 35) Merits.

Daily Quest # 809. Got Disable Focus. I received 0.868 (0.379 + 0.489) SPS, 22 Merits, an Ever-Hungry Skull, and a Djinn Chwala!

InvestYGator got Water Focus. I got 0.498 (0.099 + 0.087 + 0.07 + 0.242) SPS, 63 (38 + 25) Merits, 3 Legendary potions, 2 Vampire Bats, Pelacor Deceiver, a Naga Assassin, and a Djinn Oshannus!

I don't actually need any more copies, but always nice to get a Legendary!

Daily Quest # 810. Got Healing Focus. I received 0.956 (0.596 + 0.36) SPS, 5 Legendary potions, a Pelacor Deceiver, a Blood Maker, a Revealer, and a gold foil Venari Heatsmith!

InvestYGator got Stealth Focus. I got 0.493 (0.046 + 0.071 + 0.056 + 0.32) SPS, 1 Gold Potion, 2 Legendary potions, 16 Merits, and a Blood Maker.

Daily Quest # 811. Got Stealth Focus. I received 1.178 (0.583 + 0.595) SPS, a Pelacor Deceiver, and a Chaos Legion pack!

InvestYGator got Defend Focus. I got 0.699 (0.046 + 0.492 + 0.061 + 0.1) SPS, 5 (3 + 2) Gold potions, 12 Merits, a Pelacor Bandit, and Vampiric Blossom.

Daily Quest # 812. Fire Focus. I received 5.750 (0.534 + 2.894 + 0.599 + 1.723) SPS, 29 (8 + 12 + 9) Legendary potions, 9 Gold potions, a Vampire Bat, and a gold foil Venari Wavesmith!

InvestYGator got Water Focus. I got 0.198 (0.084 + 0.058 + 0.056) SPS, 19 Merits, a Venari Heatsmith, 2 Ever-Hungry Skulls, a Gargoya Lion, a Gargoya Devil, a Venari Bonesmith, and a Twilight Basilisk.

Daily Quest # 813. Defend Focus. I received 0.752 (0.311 + 0.441) SPS, 14 (5 + 9) Legendary potions, a Pelacor Mercenary, a Pelacor Deceiver, an Ever-Hungry Skull, and a Merdhampir.

InvestYGator got Fire Focus. I got 0.378 (0.071 + 0.207 + 0.1) SPS, 5 (3 + 2) Gold potions, 16 Merits, a Gargoya Lion, a Pelacor Deceiver, a Vampiric Blossom, and an Exploding Rats.

Daily Quest # 814. Anti Melee Focus. I received 0.739 (0.25 + 0.489) SPS, 56 Merits, a Pelacor Mercenary, a Vampire Bat, a Chaos Legion pack, and a gold foil Naga Assassin!

InvestYGator got Flying Focus. I got 0.245 (0.07 + 0.051 + 0.071 + 0.053) SPS, 6 Merits, 4 (1 + 3) Legendary potions, 3 Gold potions, Pelacor Conjurer, and an Ever-Hungry Skull.

Daily Quest # 815. Dragon Focus. I received 1.042 (0.321 + 0.406 + 0.315) SPS, 7 Legendary potions, a Gargoya Lion, and 2 Pelacor Mercenaries.

Daily Quest # 816. Death Focus. I received 0.0297 SPS, 391 (67 + 280 + 44) Merits, 8 Legendary potions, a Blood Maker, a Pelacor Conjurer, a Vampire Bat, and a Venari Heatsmith.

InvestYGator got Death Focus. I got 0.699 (0.067 + 0.34 + 0.238 + 0.054) SPS, 7 (3 + 2 + 2) Legendary potions, 57 (19 + 38) Merits, a Vampire Bat, and a Venari Heatsmith.

Daily Quest # 817. Anti Melee Focus and back to Diamond chests. I received 67 Merits and 16.597 (2.251 + 6.37 + 7.976) SPS.

InvestYGator got Earth Focus. I got 1.34 (0.314 + 0.065 + 0.961) SPS, 5 (3 + 2) Gold potions, 12 Merits, a Blood Maker, and a Pelacor Deceiver.

Daily Quest # 818. Got Water Focus. I received 12.725 (2.957 + 9.768) SPS, a Pelacor Conjurer, a Gargoya Lion, a Pelacor Bandit, and a Blood Maker.

InvestYGator got Exploits Focus. I got 0.453 (0.207 + 0.064 + 0.182) SPS, 6 Merits, 8 (2 + 3 + 3) Gold potions, 5 (1 + 1 + 2 + 1) Legendary potions, and a Vampire Bat.

Guild Brawls:

Guild Brawl #118, playing Bronze League Gold Foil Only. The guild came in 4th from last place, which is actually a step up from our recent performances.

Guild Brawl #119, playing Bronze League Gold Foil Only. The guild did much better than usual, coming in third place overall. I only had one match, that I did win, but didn't write down the opponent.

Guild Brawl #120, playing Bronze League Gold Foil Only. In a return to poor form, multiple people didn't submit teams and we once again came in 2nd to last place.

The Rest:

No real trading or tournaments, as usual of late. I did remember to put a few extra cards up for rent at least, since prices are low and I don't particularly want to sell them until the market recovers a bit. Beyond that, I finished up the season as usual, with my main account in Diamond III and my alternate account in Gold III.

Here's what I got for season rewards:

One Chaos Legion pack, one epic, and lots of potions from my Diamond season chests.

Sadly my Gold chests may have been better with 2 Chaos Legion packs, a gold foil rare, and a couple of decent SPS chests.

I did open 100 Chaos Legion packs looking for the new summoner, and I thought I had screen shots, but can't seem to find them now. It's been a long couple of weeks and still trying to get caught up after my time away. Anyhow, plenty of screenshots of things already in this combined article!
