My 2019: The last 2019 Showcase Weekend: Travelgirl’s Handpicked Favourites

Hi Everyone,

The year is coming to an end soon and I’m here lying down after a few hours of packing to go away for the new year! (more on that on another post). During this bear market, I have stuck with Steem and continued my usual self posting every day doing my usual stuff. It’s like a ritual or routine I have now and trying to pick out the best 3 is really hard as everyone post I make is somewhat part of my life and have shared with the Steemit community. After scrolling through for a good 10-15 minutes, I have picked these 3 and I think should be documented one more time before 2019 ends.

My New Milestone - 10 000+ post.

Being on the platform for more than 2 years now, I have made many friends. To see my post which includes my responses and comments hit the 10k mark is an achievement. I started think, have I really typed that much on this platform? Is that even possible? But the data is there and I have enjoyed every minute of it.

First Gold Foiled Legendary Card! YAY!!!! ~~~~

I’m sure by now many of you know I am a fan of Splinterlands. After playing for so long, I have finally received my first Gold Legendary card! Trust me, it was the best moment of my Splinterlands career. It was a like a trouble take moment just to make sure I wasn’t making a fool out of myself. I have seen so many friends and other players getting these cards, getting all excited. Now it was my turned and I probably looked and acted worse than the others LOL.

Road To Steem Fest | Travelgirl Heading Off To Thailand!

I have to include this post as I didn’t think I could make it to Steem Fest this year. The Steem prices have been low all year, the husband didn’t want to go to Thailand, I don’t want to leave the kids for too long at home were making the decision hard in the beginning. Luckily, I decided to go with the support of my other half who have done a fab job looking after the two little ones while I’m away. It was my first time away from them so to me it was an achievement. I had a great time and even took a mini side trip to Japan to get the travel bug out of the system which was a bonus. I do admit I missed the boys a lot by the time I was in Japan, but this was a learning curve for the boys and myself and I think I am confident to say I would be more happier leaving them home for an extended period of time (ie 10 days).
