Social Media Challenge: Splinterlands Weekly + Brawl Report (Aug 20 - Aug 25)

Greetings everyone, how is everyone doing this week? This week we embraced another change in the ecosystem, SPS rewards replacing DEC. It's also time to share on the latest brawl I have with PIZZA 2.

Let's start things off with how my collection power increased since the last update.

Growth is really slowing down. Don't really see cards coming from rewards. It was mainly potion galore with some small amount of DEC earlier and now SPS.

A few options, use the DEC/SPS earnings to get more cards to boost CP or rent it up to earn more chest hoping for more card drop for more CP. With new changes that happen this week, I am thinking to let things settle down before deciding how to increase my CP next.

Enough of CP growth and EOS. Let's see how we fare and any possible lessons to be learnt this brawl.

I am not too sure what it could possibly outcome. A very strong lineup from my opponent as well.

Outcome: Win! Palidon Rakk grew bigger and bigger, taking everything that stands in his way.

I think I did a very wrong choice. My frontline will get easily demolished by Grum and helping it to grow.

Outcome: Lost. Lesson learnt, avoid placing vulnerable cards which might potentially become fodder of opponent blood lust cards.

My nemesis is back. No confidence at all.

Outcome: Lost. Continued headache when it comes to brawl.

Oh my, almost made another bad move with low health monster at position 1. Thankfully it will get killed before facing the opponent Gladius. Let's see if my strategy of Releanor works.

Outcome: Win! Close shave and Releanor doing a good job.

Another potential bad call by me to field a lean lineup.

Outcome: Lose. This match has blast, and my lean crew was effectively taken out by blast alone. Very painful and I cannot kill enough for Releanor to grow to become a massive threat.

2 different Gladius facing off. I smell danger when I saw opponent Gladius having double strike and sneak. Good choice by opponent.

Outcome: Lose. Katrelba is a beast. The doule strike sneaker is so hard to handle and grow bigger and it kills.

Guild Final Tally

I was having 7 matches of which I win 3 and lost 4. Had a few bad calls in my lineup with low health monster at front line and should have done better. Quora is still a problem and newfound discovery of Katrelba prowess. Good lesson for me, I will get better next brawl.

I must get better so that we can be consistently winning and doing well for brawl. Nice job from the rest to secure rank 2 this brawl. Way to go guys! Go PIZZA 2!

Thoughts about Splinterlands Journey
There is new mechanics right now where rewards which was previously on DEC replaced by SPS. And upon claiming it automatically gets staked.

Initially when I saw this, then I was worried that I will be out of DEC for rental since we longer get DEC. But the good thing is, there is an option for ingame conversion of SPS to DEC from the daily staked reward SPS.

Not sure how ecosystem will shift with this change but let's fight on and win more battles!
