Being a Chaos Knight in battle!
Hello everyone!
Unlike the previous challenge, this one was really difficult, first because I'm not good at playing with Vida and second because in Bronze is for me the most difficult Splinter to use, I suffer a lot when I get these missions if I don't try some rented cards, because you have to face a lot of magic and there is no direct counter for that in Vida ghost cards, but you can always improvise and come up with new strategies and that's why the game always has something new to do, this week the battle was with Chaos Knight, let's see how it went!
In case you don't know it...
Introducing Chaos Knight!
Edition: CHAOS LEGION.
Rarity: COMMON.
Element: LIFE.
Attack: MELEE.
Abilities: Shield at lvl 1, Giant Killer at lvl 5, Inspire at lvl 9.
An as the lore says:
Chaos Knights are most often found at the front line of the Chaos Legion's invading forces, although they are sometimes enlisted to defend garrisons, leadership, and other high-value assets. They are heavily armored and wield massive battle axes that are able to cut down even the mightiest of foes.
Chaos Knight seems to me a card that is designed more for high ranks, in bronze there are few games in which you can make this card shine, first because of its summoners and then because having Shieldbearer in front of it dulls a little this Chaos Knight so you have to improvise it, not for this I say it's bad, because for some rulesets (as only Melee) is great to combine it with Scavo Hireling + Disintegrator or Warrior Of Peace, it all depends on knowing how to take advantage of your cards. Its price is around 8 cents for its regular version and $1.4 for its Gold Foil version.
How to use the Chaos Knight?
In a normal battle and without rules the usual would be to use it as a Tank because it has the Shield ability, but you can experiment a little and more if the rulesets come into action, for example the solo Melee and I mentioned above, if the Super Sneak appears and having the Shield ability, you can play it in last position using Disintegrator and so you will make it be many turns in the game, and especially in battles of medium-low mana (20-30) I think that is where you get more out of this card.
And if you want to empower it to the maximum I think the best thing you can do is to combine it with Adelade Brightwing that will repair the armor in each turn and unless you face against Magic, it will be practically immortal in battles of 20-30 mana.
And for last, My Battle!
Round 1.
For my battle this week I used only the ghost cards to test their real potential use, my idea was simple, that the Chaos Knight would hold a long time in first position while my second line was finishing the battle.
The Card | The Function |
---|---|
Chaos Knight | As I said, I was here to be the vanguard of my team, the front line that proves that the best offense is a good defense. |
Luminous Eagle | It is here for its Reach ability, so it serves as a support for the tank and will become a second tank if the first one falls, where its Fly ability plays an important role. |
Celestial Harpy | With its opportunism, it is one of the most important cards, it seems weak but its Fly ability opens its range of use, do not be afraid to use this card. |
Stitch Leech | Although slow, it has a powerful attack and Sneak, perfect for this combination. |
Lone Boatman | The last missing skill in my combination, her Snipe and that shield make her great to be in the last position. |
Round 2.
Round 3.
My Chaos Knight fell in round 3, but that was only because my cards missed many attacks, otherwise it would have lasted at least another two turns.
Round 4.
