[ESP-ENG] Do bots really work? Let's see.
Hace ya un tiempo que estoy utilizando el bot de PC Jones por cuestiones de trabajo, al principio lo hice simplemente no dejar mi cuenta abandonada sin ningun uso y para ser sincera, pense que no iba a hacer mucho porque he notado que estos bots suelen tener winrates bastante malos, pero... ¿Esto es verdad?
Pues vamos a verlos hoy en este post.
I've been using the PC Jones bot for a while now for work purposes, at first I did it just not to leave my account abandoned without any use and to be honest, I thought it wasn't going to do much because I've noticed that these bots usually have pretty bad winrates, but.... Is this true?
Well let's take a look at them today in this post.
La controversia.
El uso de bots es muy criticado por uno y defendido por otros, cada uno con sus razones que pueden estar correctas o no, pero lo que yo creo que la verdadera descentralización del juego recae en el hecho de que los bots puedan usarse, si sabes crearlo y/o utilizarlo, y que los devs te censuren eso es todo lo opuesto a la idea descentralizada en la que nació Splinterlands.
Los bots de batalla básicamente utilizan su IA para calcular datos del juego (todos visibles, nada de esto es solo para bots) y con ello enviar los mejores equipos posibles. Eso es literalmente lo que tienes que hacer tu como jugador, utilizar tu inteligencia para enviar el mejor equipo posible sobre las reglas que te da la batalla. Pero claro, la IA siempre será mas veloz que tu en el procesamiento de datos... Pues esto no siempre es así.
Yo he jugado en Bronce y Plata por mucho tiempo y en Bronce veo que estos bots dominan bastante, pero ya en rangos altos de Plata son cada vez mas inútiles, así que yo personalmente no creo que el bot tenga ventaja, es solo que simplemente la mayoría de jugadores de Bronce o menos todavía no dominan el juego como para darle la vuelta a estos bots, que es algo muy fácil de hacer ya que como toda IA tiene sus patrones que son muy fáciles de descifrar si le pones atención.
The controversy.
The use or not use of bots is highly criticized by one players and defended by others players, each one of them with their reasons that may be right or wrong, but what I think the real decentralization of the game lies in the fact that bots can be used, if you know how to create it and / or use it, and the devs censoring you that is the opposite of the decentralized idea in which Splinterlands was born.
The battle bots basically use their artificial inteligence to calculate the whole game data (all this data is visible for you, none of this is just for bots) and with that send the best teams possible. That is literally what you as a player have to do, use your intelligence to send the best possible team based on the rules the battle gives you. But of course, the AI will always be faster than you in processing data... This is not always the case.
I have played in Bronze and Silver for a long time with my account and in Bronze rank, I see that these bots dominate quite a lot the metagame, but already in high ranks of Silver they are increasingly useless, so I personally do not think that the bot has an advantage, it is simply that most players of Bronze or less have not yet mastered the game to turn these bots, which is something very easy to do because like any AI has its patterns that are very easy to decipher if you pay attention.
Como configurar este bot.
La verdad es que es demasiado facil. Lo primero es ir a su pagina principal y descargar la ultima actualizacion, tiene version gratuita y tambien una de pago que tiene multiples beneficios.
Tras la descarga del bot descomprimes el archivo y veras una carpeta con varios archivos dentro, la carpeta Config es la que nos interesa por ahora.
How to configure this bot.
The truth is that it is very easy. The first thing is to go to its home page and download the latest update, it has a free version and also a paid version that has multiple benefits.
After the download you unzip the file and you will see a folder with several files inside, the Config folder is the one we are interested in for now.
da click en el bloc de notas llamado Accounts para agregar las cuentas que quieres que el bot juegue. Debes añadir tu llave Posting.
Luego de eso editando el bloc llamado Config puedes modificar las opciones del bot, como el intervalo entre partidas, cuando debe dejar de jugar, si deberia reclamar o no las recompensas, avanzar de liga cuando pueda hacerlo, la liga maxima en la que jugará, etc. Tiene muchas opciones para personalizarlo a tu gusto.
Luego de eso en la carpeta raiz buscas el archivo llamado Ultimate Splinterlands Bot V2 que es el que ejecuta el script que hace funcionar al bot.
El bot funcionara con las configuraciones que elegiste siempre que tu pc este encendida y el programa abierto, claro.
click on the notepad labeled Accounts to add the accounts you want the bot to play. You must add your Posting key.
After that by editing the notepad called Config you can modify the bot's options, such as the interval between games, when it should stop playing, whether or not it should claim rewards, advance to the next league when it can, the maximum league it will play in, etc. It has many options to customize it to your liking.
After that in the root folder of your bot you look for the file called Ultimate Splinterlands Bot V2 which is the one that runs the script that makes the bot work.
The bot will work with the settings you chose as long as your pc is on and the program is open, of course.

Puedes elegir el formato que vas a jugar, yo juego Modern y para maximizar el rendimiento rento todo lo que me falte entre las cartas raras y comunes de las ediciones Rewards, Untamed y Chaos Legion, y de la edicion Chaos Legion agrego a las epicas y legendarias tambien.

You can choose the format you are going to play, I play Modern and to maximize the performance I rent all the rare and common cards from the Rewards, Untamed and Chaos Legion editions, and from the Chaos Legion edition I add the epic and legendary cards as well.
Casi 440 DEC por día rentando estas cartas. Mientras mas de estas cartas tengas en posesion mucho mejor y claro que puedes rentar por una temporada entera o mas, asi no tienes que estar cada pendiente en cada momento pero la pregunta es...
¿Vale la pena?
Almost 440 DEC per day renting these cards. The more of these cards you have in your possession the better and of course you can rent for a whole season or more, so you don't have to be on the lookout at all times but the question is....
Is it worth it?
Este fue el desempeño de mi bot el dia de ayer, empece a jugar muy tarde esta temporada pero ya mi bot empezo a remontar el camino.
En promedio, este bot hace entre 10 y 15 cofres de Bronce en cada focus usando estas cartas.
Jugando en Plata, el bot normalmente hace entre 7 y 10 cofres, aunque tendras que agregar cartas a mayor nivel, estas se quedaran cortas a partir de Plata II.
Entre el SPS obtenido por las victorias y las recompensas de las cartas, creo que casi cada focus termina en una ganancia que se va sumando cada vez, pero segun mis resultados lo mejor es que el bot se mantenga jugando en Plata. Incluso a final de esta temporada pretendo subir a Oro para tener cofres de temporada de Oro mientras los diarios del focus son de Plata, se que voy a obtener muchos menos cofres de temporada pero al ser de calidad de oro, estoy segura que van a ser mucho mejores que los actuales de Plata.
Estas son las cartas que yo utilizo, no hago prioridad a las doradas, aunque recuerda que te dan bono en victorias asi que no es descartable el utilizarlas.
This was the performance of my bot yesterday, I started playing very late this season but my bot started to come back on track.
On average, this bot makes between 10 and 15 Bronze chests in each focus using these cards.
Playing in Silver, the bot usually makes between 7 and 10 chests, although you will have to add cards at a higher level, these will fall short from Silver II onwards.
Between the SPS obtained by the victories on my battles and the rewards of the cards, and also SPS and merits, I think that almost every focus that you complete ends in a gain that is added each time, but according to my latest results it is best that the bot is kept playing in Silver rank with Silver chests. Even at the end of this season I intend to upgrade to Gold to have Gold season chests while the daily focus are Silver, I know I will get much less season chests but being of gold quality, I'm sure they will be much better than the current Silver ones.
These are the cards that I use, I do not give priority to the golden ones, although remember that they give you bonus in victories so it is not discardable.
Yo creo que los bots son buenos siempre y cuando no puedas jugar tu, por ser una IA siempre se queda corta en ciertas situaciones y por supuesto que puede llegar a tener algun bug, pero en lineas generales este bot se comporta muy muy bien.
Mi winrate se mantiene por encima del 50% y creo que eso es muy correcto, y como no tengo tiempo disponible para jugar utilizar este servicio hace que mi cuenta vaya generando por mi con tan solo ocupar unos cuantos minutos para configurar todo. Creo que es una gran herramienta.
I think this battle bots are good as long as you can not play your own account manual, being an AI always falls short in certain situations of the game and of course you can get to have some bug, but in general this bot behaves very well with this cards that I mention
My winrate remains above 50% by now after use this bot for a couple days and I think that's very correct for being a IA, and as I have no time available to play using this service makes my account go generating for me with only take a few minutes to configure everything. I think it is a great tool.
Yo hago que el bot juegue 3 partidas por hora, en intervalos de 20 minutos, hasta que completa 30 partidas por focus, esto toma unas 10 horas en completarse y mantiene mi ECR siempre en el rango perfecto para que las recompensas no disminuyan, en los ultimos dias suelo bajarlo lo mas posible porque los primeros dias de temporada es muy complicado para el bot ganar partidas, asi que gasto mucho al final y luego los primeros dias lo dejo descansar.

I make the bot play 3 games per hour, in intervals of 20 minutes, until it completes 30 games per focus, this takes about 10 hours to complete and keeps my ECR always in the perfect range so that the rewards do not decrease, in the last days I usually lower it as much as possible because the first days of the season is very complicated for the bot to win games, so I spend a lot at the end and then the first days I let it rest.
