I do not like when my opponent forfeits a match. I get no points.

hmmm... actually, the guild still gets the win! So a forfeit is just as valid a victory as any.

I'll have to go in for some battles (I haven't played in a while) and check to see if anything has changed because I know I was not getting points when my opponent forfeited. Maybe the system was broken then and has since been fixed.
yeah, i think quite a few things have changed since then.
I believe that previously (before I joined the PIZZA guild for SPL), rentals expiring would lead to you automatically forfeiting the match too. That is no longer the case.
