27th Mar 2022. Joining a YGG tournament as usual. Love the energy of the different streamers coming together.

Today they were giving out the most generous rewards I’ve ever seen.

Hope to earn a high ranking and have a slice of the pie!

PeakMonsters rental for tournament

I woke up early to prepare for this.

Renting a full Bronze deck to put up the best fight I can muster.

I’m making full use of the rentals by joining another tournament today.

As you can see, the rental prices were sky-high today, and I spent 83.118DEC for this.

If this keeps up, I’m going bankrupt competing in high-level tournaments.

A total of 51 cards were rented.

PeakMonsters used to have an alert in blue for cards expiring within 24 hours.

It’s not showing up anymore for some reason.

Wish they would put the alert back though. It was effective as a quick summary.

It was an exciting tournament with many high performing players
16th place may not be great, but the reward is!

250DEC is perhaps the highest reward won in a tournament to date.

Reflection

Starting a new job soon, and my weekends will be burned because of it.

This could well be the last YGG tournament I am taking part in.

Will definitely miss the high-level plays and the incredible prizes they are giving out every week.

Appreciate the more even playing field with appropriate card restrictions.

Who knows? Maybe YGG will host tournaments in Anytime format in the future, and I will be able to join again.
