Time for the SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge.

For this week's battle challenge, I first thought of using the designated monster(GOBLIN SHAMAN), but later decided to do some other monster as I don't frequently use GOBLIN SHAMAN. After some battles, I found a battle entertaining enough for weekly battle challenge.

I wanted to put life leach capabilities of Vampire.

Here is the amazing lore:

Some Dark Eternals choose to turn their back on the Dark Codex, giving in to the temptation of Soul Harvesting. It is a disgusting and archaic practice that takes over the soul of its practicer. Eventually the Soul Harvester becomes addicted, needing to feed off living souls to survive. This is the birth of a Vampire.

Vampire is a reward edition monster. Costing 5 mana, Vampire starts off with minimal health but the good thing is it also have Life Leach right from lev-1. High speed of Vampire along with Flying ability give it high hitting probability.

I own lev-6 Vampire, which has 5 speed and 3 attack making it a nice utility in normal battle rulesets.

Cost Analysis

Currently there are 58,825 normal foil and 1,792 gold foil Vampires in circulation, costing $0.95/BCX and $41/BCX respectively.

The prices skyrocketed just like all other monsters when the bloom came. Normal foils Vampire's price is still on the rise whereas gold foil's price has settled down a bit.

Favored Battle Rules

Vampire works well in all normal battle rules. It is best suited for Earthquake, Explosive Weaponry, Armored Up and Close Range rulesets.

Placement

Vampire like all ranged monsters is best suited in the middle back ranks well protected from frontal, opportunity and sneak attacks.

Complementing Abilities

Vampire can be complemented well by summoners like ARCHMAGE ARIUS, SELENIA SKY, DRAKE OF ARNAK and BYZANTINE KITTY summoners.

As far as abilities are concerned, Vampire can be decently complemented by other monsters with abilities. Abilities that complement Vampire best are Protect, Strengthen, Triage Swiftness and Slow.

Defense

Vampire can be killed easily using Return Fire or Opportunity attack. Other option is to use strong snipe or blast attack. Vampire's high speed attack can be countered by high shield monsters.

This was a 19 mana battle with two battle rules, Weak Magic and Equalizer.

OWSTER ROTWELL

I choose to play with OWSTER ROTWELL summoner to counter any possible enemy magic attack.

FURIOUS CHICKEN

Upfront I used zero mana monster, FURIOUS CHICKEN. FURIOUS CHICKEN high health in Equalizer ruleset is a too good bonus to miss.

CURSED SLIMEBALL

On one down I placed CURSED SLIMEBALL. Single mana monsters are of extreme utility in Equalizer ruleset as they serve as a nice attack absorber.

GELATINOUS CUBE

Next I placed one the best no attack, GELATINOUS CUBE. GELATINOUS CUBE ability to soak up damage is unparalleled,

UNDEAD ARCHER

Next came the affliction monster, UNDEAD ARCHER. Costing just 2 mana, UNDEAD ARCHER offers nice value in the form of Affliction and Shatter abilities.

HALFLING ALCHEMIST

Next I place another low mana monster, HALFLING ALCHEMIST. Halving ability of HALFLING ALCHEMIST is a unique ability, as it can counter enemy's high attack monsters.

VAMPIRE

On the very last, I placed VAMPIRE. VAMPIRE's high speed makes it a nice sneak attack defender. Moreover Life Leach ability in Equalizer ruleset, makes it a serious threat.

BATTLE ANALYSIS

The battle went as planned. Using low mana monsters in Equalizer ruleset is the real trick. Everything went as planned from choice of summoner to monsters. OWSTER ROTWELL's magic reflect countered magic attack. Moreover, enemy attack wasn't potent enough to take out CUBE.

Watching Vampire gain health from Life Leach was fun. Too bad Vampire's health went only to 49 just shy of fifty.
