Splinterchat: Governance Proposal, SPS Price and Coeurl Lurker

With market bearing looking not so great, Splinterlands season have been proceeding smoothly and I have managed to sneak into Diamond-III last night. Let's see how far I end up this season. So far highlight of the season is beginning of SPS airdrop for land deeds and Nightmare packs holders in wake of approval of SPS governance proposals # 8 & 9.
Today I am going to talk about new running SPS Governance Proposal # 10, SPS price action and legendary RW monster Coeurl Lurker. So let's dive into it without any further delay:

SPS Governance Proposal 10

As of now SPS Governance Proposal has been running, which aims to adjust earned battle reward share based on the level of cards used in the battle by winning party. Basically the proposal is about reducing battle victory rewards if the winner uses one or more lower level cards in battle than maximum designated level by league in which they are playing.
If the proposal gets approved, every low level card usage than maximum level allowance by league will be penalized in case of victory. The goal is the push players to upgrade their cards to the maximum level allowed by the League they are playing in. Simply speaking this is more refined form of Collection power system that used to dictate the maximum league one can play in.

Overall this may seems like a nice proposal intended to distribute battle rewards more justly based on the cards level used by the winning party. But there are some aspects that make this proposal less attractive for many people including me. Many ambitious players with low level cards frequently advance higher leagues and dare to challenge the maxed decks. Sometimes they succeed and sometimes they don't. Competing and winning against higher level decks (e.g. maxed one) with low level cards requires extra bit of dexterity and audacity.
It is actually of more challenging and satisfying in fact. This proposal downplays the valiant factor of the game. If a guy with lower level cards win battle against a stronger enemy, logically he/she should be rewarded (at-least equally) rather than penalized for his astuteness. Low level cards usage is discouraging in itself, as sometime one can get lucky and win against higher level deck but eventually the luck shall run out as they advance to higher rating in the league. Hence the declining win rate, which should be enough to balance out the rewards earned at the end of the day/season.
So I have voted against the proposal, and with still seven days of voting left I hope it gets rejected.

SPS Price

SPS have been painting a sorrow picture just like the rest of the crypto market and Hive ecosystem. Needless to say that the bears have also sneaked into the Splinterlands ecosystem. But I believe all of this will be short lived at least as far as SPS is concerned. With GSL airdrop for SPS stackers starting up next month, SPS price reversal is inevitable. As the airdrop draws near, more and more people are gonna stake increased amount of SPS to receive the bigger chunk of year long token drop and that should be enough to support and pump the SPS price.

As of now SPS has been trading at $0.057 but with airdrop nearing I see it rebounding near to $0.08.

Coeurl Lurker

I have been eyeing for Coeurl Lurker ever since it got launched. Its price has been above $30/BCX throughout most of its short life span. Even the bearish market hasn't been able to push its price down. Looking at the stats of this guy, one can easily tell that it is worth the price. With no signs of demand for Coming down, it seems I am gonna have to buy it at this price. The price will certainly shoot up once it goes out of circulation.
