SPS Airdrop is Over... All Good Things Must Come to an End!

Evening

Splinterlands SPS airdrop is finally over...I can't believe one year passed so quickly. Good time really flies, doesn't it? SPS airdrop have been the most rewarding one in my short crypto career and I seriously doubt anything like this would happen again to me.

So after a year of airdrop and continuous staking, I ended up with 117K SPS. I also dumped around 15K SPS during the early months of airdrop to get through some tough times. But no regrets as cashed out at some very decent rates(may be around $0.70) and the money served its purpose pretty well.

Current price of SPS is $0.060 giving it a market cap of $52 million. SPS supply will for sure face a little bit of crunch with airdrop ending, but that crunch will partially be subsided by SPS released to node operators and ranked battle earnings. So, I seriously doubt that SPS price will be retaking $0.50+ position anytime soon, not unless until the game suddenly goes main stream like Axie Infinity once did. But $200 million market cap is still on the table in short term, with SPS price pumped to around $0.20.

SPS price has already started to spike. I don't know if it is the current bulls market or the tokenomics kicking in. I guess we are gonna find out soon enough.

As of now, I have unstaked all my SPS and planning to dump it all because of an imminent unavoidable need. Selling all my SPS pains me, but the need is dire and I might end up with no other option but to dump all of my SPS. Times are getting really hard here in Pakistan as inflation has started to hit us with full force. For now my only concern is to get best rates out of the SPS trade.

I am also working on a back up plan to rebuild my SPS stakes. All I can hope is that SPS doesn't pump too much, as it will only make it harder for me refill my depleted reserves.

I understand this part and I am glad you had something to lean on when a financial need arose. Here in Nigeria, inflation has not been good news at all but I am glad we are alive ! Keep working hard, and keep accumulating more.

All the best Xabi👍
