Apr. 6, 21: AutomaticWin, Teaching, DoubleDay, TV, and Games

Made it until five thirty today, but still an hour and a half short again. I did drag slightly in the afternoon, but not so bad that I crashed.

Not a lot happening during the morning routine. HIVE really starting to slip again...got some solid red candles going. It does mean that my payouts have gone back up, which I like even more than the price. 🤑

Otherwise, just the usual. Some curation, hit the faucet, chat on Discord, nothing big. Watched a bit of the news on YouTube and then started to get bored. Decided to head out and try and get a #AutomaticWin.

Quite a bit nicer out this morning than the last few. I still had a hat and coat on, but the hat came off after a short while.

Beat the Sun today. How’s that for some initiative! 💪 Tried to think about the game, but I’m really stuck at the moment, so basically just mentally prepared what I wanted to go over for my classes today.

Got my post done, snagged some lunch, and then it was time to meet up with my Calculus 1 class. We covered some serious ground and went the full two hours! Last time was relatively easy being the the antiderivative is just the derivative backward, but definite integrals are a bit trickier. We did an example of a Riemann Sum and found the integral by taking the limit, but then I showed them The Fundamental Theorem of Calculus so they knew how to actually evaluate them rather than getting mired in Algebra when that’s not the way we do it at the end of the day anyway.

I did feel a little drained after class and I laid down, but I didn’t take a nap, just watched the rest of The Unsettling. Was a pretty good Show, but man, plowed through the whole season in only two days! Really need to get some work done on the website rather than watching the tube.

Had a plate of leftover stir fry for dinner and then met with my Calculus 2 class. We went about an hour and a half as well. We finally got to the full blown Taylor Series! 😁🤓 I showed them the derivation and then we found a couple series for e^x and sin(x). We also used integration (termwise) to get the series for ln(x) amd arctan(x)...was cool to do the series for ln(x) by integrating and then verify the formula we found by doing it with the Taylor Series. 😎

After class I got ready for bed and watched some TV for a while. Wenche put on Hannibal, and I tried to watch, but ended up falling asleep fairly quickly.

Words... I need words for my post, but I don’t have too many nice ones to say about dShitty at this point. No crime or crises, so that’s something, but not enough something to make me care about playing this again. Feels weird to maintain a zero balance, though.

Add and subtract continues to elude them.

Crankin’ out those Holybread tasks! 🤩 Ended up a few slots lower than I would have liked, but at least I’m catching the wins I need in the arena. Seem to be well on pace to have the gold for potions, hopefully this time I can boost some stats too.

Only one off from that “top” spot...hockeyfan better look out, I’m gunning for him!

Been a few days now since I’ve been able to get onto CryptoBrewmaster. 😡 The server continues to be under maintenance. They’re reimbursing people who had rented buildings, but the rest of us are just out of luck, I guess.

Was too busy today to actually play any Splinterlands. I thought about it after my second class got done, but it was late and I didn’t really feel like getting annoyed.

Got my stats for last week. Lots of green going this time and a nice #DoubleDay showing! 💪👍 Going to be tough to keep it going this next week, but that’s a good challenge to have. 😁
