Nov. 23, 20: New Furnace, Xbox, and Games

Four thirty, once again, and yet another two full hours short on sleep. I dragged a little in the afternoon, but there was no rest for the wicked today.

Bitcoin really looking strong still. Got to be honest, though, I’m a bit nervous about the rate at which we’ve gone up. It’s great to see those green candles keep coming, but the pullback is inevitable and it could come sharp.

Rumors have it that PayPal and Greyscale alone are buying up more than the supply that’s minted...add on additional supply shortage from getting wrapped on Ethereum and we have a perfect storm for the price to rise. Pushing so close to all-time highs now, the hype should really start...

Today was finally the long anticipated day that the new furnace was to be installed. There were two guys here, in and out, for most of the day. It did get a little chilly inside, but I put on the space heater in the living room and it even got too hot. 🥵

They cut out and removed the old furnace as well as the air conditioner. So thankful to have them haul those away; the garage is full of the carcasses of dead appliances!!! They were cool and let me keep all the copper and even gave me a couple heavy brass scrap fittings. 🤗

Quite a bit quieter than the old one as well. Having a proper water pump not running forever is awesome too. 😁 Plus, it’s supposed to be more efficient (I should hope so versus a twenty to thirty year old one), so hopefully that will save a little over the long run as well.

Not a whole lot to do other than firing up the Xbox. There was a new download available which I was flabbergasted to find I hadn’t played: Lego Indiana Jones Original Trilogy. I’ve played some before, and pretty much all of the Star Wars and Jurassic Park ones. I like them generally and can almost always complete them to a hundred percent, except for some of the annoying collectibles sometimes.

I played through the first seven levels of the story mode and popped a bunch of cheevos. Played the first level through again on free play mode, but still missed two items. 😡 Should probably play the whole thing through once first to unlock all the characters I need before trying again.

Luckily I had enough moving around while the guys were here to get most of my steps done for the day, at least enough that I didn’t need to do any laps before bedtime.

Laid down and watched just a couple of minutes of TV before I was out.

Well, at least my dCity didn’t get robbed today, but it seems that there’s a fricking crisis basically every day now. This one is screwing with my population and has shut stuff down...hope that goes back to normalcy after gerber is done having his fun.

For serious! I’ve had two arena wins in like the last four days! 🤬 Always the same four guys, and nothing I can do. Not sure there’s all that much of a point to messing with it anymore.

I have no idea how, but still holding at thirteenth position. 💪

After the flurry of brews I’ve gotten done on CryptoBrewmaster the past couple days, it’s little surprise that I was just gathering ingredients today.

Seems like the lack of energy (how slowly it regenerates) is one of the factors messing with my ability to get the ingredients I need.

Been hearing some others talk about wanting a tool to be able to one click sell out their entire collection. That would certainly make life easier; the thought of putting each individual card up seems like an insane amount of work. Still considering the leasing option, but that might be more work than it’s worth to do as well. Either way, I don’t see much playing in my future.

Got my stats for the last week. Hard to believe that seventy five thousand steps is actually an increase! 🤭 I’m also blown away that I have an average of around eight hours of restful sleep per night...don’t see how that’s even possible considering I’m short pretty much every night.
