The Explosion of New Communities is an Opportunity to Earn!

There's no better time than the present to build early stake in a new community and earn on your investment.

we've seen the explosion of new niche communities popping up thanks to SCOT from the Steem-Engine Team. Along with this comes and opportunity to invest early and see a return.

My example is https://www.splintertalk.io

I'm not a "maverick" in the splinterlands community and wasn't privy the airdrop that occurred at the launch of this platform. But I knew that the community and a following behind it that should be enough to sustain a niche standalone website and jumped at the chance to scoop up tokens at what I hoped was a good price.

It was pretty early so I thought I had likely beat the rush and got a great deal. Shortly after the site was live I jumped on the Steem-Engine DEX and purchased 150 STEEM with of SPT [33,444 SPT] and immediately staked ALL of these tokens. Because I create splinterlands content through my @battlegames project I knew there would be a chance to earn on content creation and also an opportunity to earn on curation.

I also know that the first weeks and months of a new community platform offers the best chance to grow an initial stake as this is when the fewest people are competing for the rewards pool!

Here's what has happened so far. The initial purchase of 33,444 SPT for 150 STEEM is now worth 260 STEEM at current market price. After locking in my entire purchase of SPT and getting to work on the content creation and curation I have earned an additional 10,935 SPT.

I've grown 150 STEEM into 345 STEEM in a month!

I had to sell some of my initial earnings to help pay for the launch of the @battlegames platforms www.battlegames.io and www.battletube.io, but have still been able to grow my staked tokens and continue to earn, and you can too!

There's also a handful of other communities that are still in early stages such as steemleo, neoxian, sportstalksocial, actnearn, steemzzang and soon to be platforms to keep an eye on such as Intrepreneur!

You can check out @holger80's post for a more complete List of new communities.

If you're ready to add value to a platform through content creation and or curation there's still an opportunity get in early at Battlegames.io.

All right, that's all for now, see ya in the next post!

As you said, Now is the time to get in. As more people join these communities earning said tokens will become more difficult since we are all taking from the same token pool.

I plan on sticking to 2/3 main tribes as its impossible to keep up with them all. Great Job with making battle.io one of the top tribes to be apart of.

Fun times for sure! and thanks for the continued support along the way! I can totally see the majority of people gravitating towards a couple main niche tribes, and then using the tags for the general topic tribes on pretty much everything..

Hi @rentmoney

Wouldn't you consider current drop in STEEM partly related to all those new tokens launched on steem-engine? After all people are trading steem to some of those tokens and causing even more selling pressure.

just curious what's your opinion.

Which one did you choose?

Yes, I have considered that. I had that thought the moment I seen so many of these tribes pop up. Once I gave it more thought I came to the conclusion they are not directly responsible for any potential decline in price as all they are doing is creating another token on the platform (every post still gets created on Steem/Steemit that is created on a tribe site). Everyone who is purchasing these tribe tokens needs to do it with Steem or Steemp which means the main currency (STEEM) is still being used.

The only negative affect to the price of STEEM (that I can come up with) that these tribe sites may have is ........ someone is making allot of STEEM from this whole process. IF they are selling that STEEM for something other then other STEEM tokens then that can directly have an affect on price.

Which one did you choose?

Battle.io for all my gaming content / SPT for all things Steem-Monsters/Splinterlands releated. Palnet as it allows me to use its tag on everything. I use some of the other tags from tribes when my content is relevant to that tribe.

Thanks for your prompt reply @rentmoney

Indeed. But they are also building some demand. So let's take me and others as an example: if I want to buy 1000 PAL tokens, then where will I get my funds from? I guarantee that most of the time will come from exactly same source: selling STEEM.

So it does create some extra selling pressure.

The only negative affect to the price of STEEM (that I can come up with) that these tribe sites may have is ........ someone is making allot of STEEM from this whole process.

Oh yeah. That's a good point.

I also wanted to make some suggestion.

My impression is, that the hardest part of attracting attention on STEEMIT is the fact, that our audience have very little chance to actually find our publications. Lack of solid notification system is an obvious issue. And regardless how hard I would try - there is very little chance I would find out about your new interesting publications (my feed is just flooded with to many posts).

Please allow me to share some suggestion with you. If you would ever publish content related to blockchain, crypto, artificial intelligence, psychology etc. then perhaps you could simply send me memo with link to that post.

This way not only I would have a chance to read your publication, drop a comment but I will also `upvote it right away with almost 20k SP voting power (I also have almost 10k PAL tokens, which may give you some extra benefits is you're using PALnet.io)

Please let me know what do you think. This surely should sound like a interesting offer :))

Cheers, Piotr

I agree and I made the suggestion some months back that STEEMIT add a favorites list next to our Following / Followers option. We could use that list for a select few content creators that we like to visit more then others.

I will be sure to memo you anything that I think you may be interested in and you can feel free to do the same to me, thanks for the offer.

where in the process of launching a token is STEEM sold?

Dear @agr8buzz

Perhaps I'm wrong, but personally to purchase some PAL tokens I had to sell some of my STEEM. And other people are not any different. So it does have some impact on current price.

When you buy PAL from the steem-engine DEX you're using STEEMP not STEEM.

If you deposited STEEM into the DEX in exchange for STEEMP the STEEM you deposited is held in the DEX until someone else withdraws STEEM back to their wallet. No "selling" of STEEM here, you've exchanged it for a 1:1 pegged token, and at some point its converted back to steem at 1:1. Where's the down pressure on steem price here?

Thank you for your explanation @agr8buzz. I apreciate your time.

However I still found it hard to "grasp". So let's say that I've spend 1000 steem and purchased 2500 PAL because price was 0.4 STEEM per one PAL token.

And then few months later I decided to sell all those 2500 PAL tokens and since price of PAL would increase by 50%, then I would receive 1500 STEEM.

How can it not affect demand, supply and price of STEEM ?
