IT'S NOT TOO LATE

Speaking to people I get the feeling that the general public feel like if they don't get into a game early enough it is not worth playing, as the games are all geared towards being active and it's too hard to catch-up in their opinion. As far as Splinterlands concerned this is true in a way as you do get rewards cards and if these users remain active then it is hard to catch-up but not impossible. In this post I will offer you some help to get you started and rising up the ranks.

NEW PLAYER STRATEGY

First thing buy a starter pack! You don't want to spend $10 to play a game really? Just buy the Starter pack, It will give you access to the basic cards and from here you can start earning and building your deck. Rather then upgrading your Summoners as they are more expensive, focus on getting as many level 1 monsters as you can. This will give you more cards to choose from then your opponents. To earn extra DEC make sure to join a guild as you can get a nice little bonus and novice tournaments are also a great way to earn some DEC as they cap everyone to level 1 cards. The DEC can all be used to buy more cards.

OPTIMIZING REWARDS

Ranking up more will get you more DEC, but there is also other things you can do to increase your rewards. Go to settings and turn off potions on rewards cards, why? You can buy Untamed packs and use your potions you collect from rewards on these to get more untamed legendary and gold foil cards. Also you can get orbs form rewards at the moment , make sure to get these while you still can.

BE A COMMUNITY MEMBER

Guilds are great to join as other guild members can help you on your journey in Splinterlands. There is also some great communities that you can join to help you along the way. Splinterlands Telegram community has trivia contests , Splinterlands Facebook community recently gave out untamed packs for those letting people know about Splinterlands and don't forget the @Splinterlands Steem community where there are art contest, battle contests and more. That's not even mentioning all the great people who are apart of these communities.

TIME TO START

Just buy a starter pack or buy a heap of booster packs as well it's up to you. But it is definitely not too late to start playing Splinterlands and with NFT's launching late this year, it is a great time to build your deck before they do.
