A Mobile App Future for the Steem Blockchain
I believe it was a few weeks back that Splinterlands announced that they had plans to do a mobile app. I just saw this in an official tweet a few hours ago:

The Splinterlands mobile app is in the works and it looks incredible. A big reason why I don’t play Splinterlands regularly is because I don’t like to sit at my desk all day.
I work primarily from my laptop and phone, so when I’m at the office, I’m doing work before making sure to get outside and be active.
If I could just play a few Splinterlands games throughout the day, that would be a literal game changer. I’d be able to play the game casually and be able to do it on the go when I’m waiting at a Doctor’s appointment or something.
Mobile apps are the future for Steem. Right now, I use Partiko for the majority of my Steem interactions. I do transfers via Steem Keychain on my laptop (but Aggroed has already mentioned that they want to do a Keychain mobile app).
Imagine a mobile app future for Steem. Appics, Splinterlands, Steem Keychain, Partiko and more. That’s just the beginning of what we could be doing on Steem from our phones.
We could be blogging, taking Instagram pics, sending transfers, exchanging tokens… The list goes on.
Mobile apps that are specifically built for Steem-based communities will also transform our usage of blockchain on a daily basis.
I’ve told a lot of friends who are outside of the blockchain space about the Splinterlands game. Most haven’t touched it yet because they said it’s too complex. Most of these same people also hardly use a computer anymore.
They’re primarily on their iPhones for all their daily tech use. They scroll through Twitter or look at Instagram or what have you.
I have friends as well who have played games such as Clash of Clans or Clash Royale. I imagine that these friends will have a large interest in playing a game from their iPhone that has a similar user experience, but bridges them into the blockchain space and allows them to earn for their gaming.
They’re competitive as well, so the leaderboard and tournaments will be incredible.
I don’t know about you, but I’m very excited for the Splinterlands mobile app. I think it will showcase the mobile potential for the Steem blockchain and I think it could be a main driving factor for reshaping the image of Steem to the current crypto world and also to all those beautiful normies out there that are waiting to be onboarded!
What are your thoughts on the mobile app future of Steem? Do you see a future where we are all Steeming from our smart phones?
Of course, this is good news, we are certainly waiting for our application of the Splinterlands I also have friends who tell me, would like to play but what is a little complex. In my group many of us clash royal, pay shock by cards or gems that in the end no son of them. When you integrate our beloved Splinterlands, you will become addicted like me. Thanks for the news friend.

I second that. Mobile apps are very handy. I continue to be connected to steem just because of Partiko. I would have given up on it long back had it not been a mobile app.
I'm unable to play SM for the exact same reason. You will find me playing more and more SM if a mobile app is available.

Honestly, I've been waiting for this for the longest time, im also not keen on sitting with a laptop just to play im pretty sure once the mobile app launches it will see gamer time skyrocket and new user acquisition too.
So keen to try it once it launches
It is awesome to hear about it as I can't wait, it will provide more ease to play the game more
I guess in the future all the apps will be adapted to all the devices(desktop, laptop, mobile, or even VR devices)
