New Programmer, Looking for how to Tips!! #Splinterlands

avatar

Hi Hive Community,

Just recently got into coding and in particular web scrapping projects/bots. Thanks to @solominer and his amazing articles, I too have created my own version of Alfficcadenti's splinterlands bot.

Getting hung-up on the proper way to store the permutations of winning hands. I'm really good in excel, but can imagine writing js code to query and filter excel tables wouldn't be the most efficient way to code.

Essentially my goal is to store hands to play for certain game rulesets, mana costs and splinter limitations. After storing the hands and pulling the active rulesets from battle, I want to filter the table for the hand I want to play.

Any comments or reply's on best starting points would be greatly appreciated (Tree's, Bags, Access Database??, etc...?).

Hey solominer, didn't realize you too were on their discord server. I've just started to follow this project and getting more and more involved. Posted in the chat the other day and got some really good info on making my own logic tables either in mysql or .json files like this code does. I'm compiling my own card hands to play in excel then I'm going to xfer to .json or mysql. After I xfer it I want to come up with a formula to save the win % and update after each game. In theory over time the win% alone should carry me into higher ranks.
