Nov. 11, 19: Creating Homework, Programming, and Shoveling the White Shite

Today was the first day in a while that I struggled to get to the ten thousand mark. 🤭. Still, the streak remains alive!!!

We woke up this morning to this:

So I knew that I was going to get to have some fun “playing” in the snow later on. Has to be one of my least favorite activities ever. Ah, well, I suppose there’s a whole wide world out there and I choose to live in this place.

Needless to say, I didn’t go out for a proper walk today. No maps or nuthin’ 😢. @wenchebakken did get out this morning, so I really don’t have a good excuse. Props to her, she wins today. 🏆👍

My Steemmonsters quest was wicked rough! I got on a serious losing streak and got sent to the bottom of Gold II. I was able to fight my way back, though, clawing through the horde, to reach Gold I today!!! 🤩🤓. Seems like @ketcom and I are having just about the exact same experience over there.

Rewards were, meh, so so. My Naga Fire Wizard is starting to get pretty beefy, though. Hopefully tomorrow will have some better rewards in the higher league, presuming I can hold out.

The rest of the morning I spent on the computer creating some new homework for both my classes. I also was able to finally resolve the positioning issue with my game that’s been bugging me since I first started! 😀. It might be a bit hacky, and I’m not totally happy with hardcoding some of the variables, but for now it does what I wanted it to do. Now I’m gonna’ change it again. 😝

I got all prepped for teaching trig, was intending to teach angular versus linear velocity. Did my shower routine and drove in. It was insanely scary! There were at least six cars in the ditches on the way. I wasn’t going to make it on time sitting in traffic, so I sent a message to my students that I would be late; and, gosh dangalangit! they cancelled class like twenty minutes after I left. So, I got to immediately drive home in the same narsty shite. Nevermind, at least i didn’t end up in a ditch as well.
