Sourav Ganguly 1st India cricketer in 65 years to become BCCI president
Sourav Ganguly, the formal Successful Indian Cricket team captain has been selected as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) chief. He was the only candidate for this post. He will work for next ten months after that contract may be extended or may not be.
He played for India for a long time and was captain. So he knows all the conditions very well. His team performance in the 2003 WC was excellent. But could not manage the trophy due Australia's form. But under his captaincy India did not lose any match in the 2003 cricket World Cup except Australia.
He was the chief of Cricket Association of Bengal for the past five years. Ganguly will be the second Indian captain to hold the top job in BCCI
