Why Did the Marketcap of Splinterlands Soar During the Past Two Months?

Steemmonsters (a.k.a. Splinterlands) has had a fabulous increase in marketcap during the recent two months or so.

Aggroed summed it up nicely yesterday:
https://www.palnet.io/steemmonsters/@aggroed/this-thing-is-screaming

Why do you think this happened?

Please select your top 3 reasons.

  • DECs and their in-game use cases were introduced

  • Alpha pack cards and Gold cards became more sought out, because of boosting DEC winnings, by playing with decks that include them

  • Splinterlands added support for Chinese and Korean languages recently

  • Beta packs availability is running low (less than 30%)

  • SplinterTalk community was created

  • Guilds will soon be added to Splinterlands

  • The partnership with Tron, and new gamers/investors from there

  • Splinterlands gets extra support because the team behind it successfully launched Steem-Engine

  • Something else (please specify)

The main reason is probably the introduction of Dark Energy Crystals (DEC).
