Well, that escalated quickly. Two of the NFT groups on Farm Farmer have sold out!!! They aren't actually completely sold out. The ones available for discount have sold out, and we'll list the others that are full priced shortly.

Overall it's been 2 days and about 5% of the cards are sold. The thing isn't even in a real alpha yet. I'll take that as a good sign.

There are some nice discounts still available on the Cattle Rancher while supplies last. You'll also be able to get the Gold Miner and Computer Coder again, but supply will be pretty tight as they are short supply anyway and half sold out because the discounted ones are gone.

I'm not going to list more of these for sale than what was in the last post about them. So, whatever cards are here are all you're going to get of these types.

We're adding a display for the supply left of each NFT to the site, so you'll be able to see that going forward on the home screen. That should be live on the website in the next 24-48 hours.

Small Caveat

The one possible exception to adding new cards is down the road I may introduce another small set, but the only way to pay for them will be by burning $farm (not paying farmfarmer). That way everyone with $farm benefits from it and I have less liability. We'll see. I'm happy with how this is going so far and I'll listen to players if they want the burn case.

Coding Update

Small update. We're currently planning on adding what we call the "Dynamic Mining Contract" to Hive-Engine and making it Live on Saturday. Non-zero chance it doesn't get into this next update, but also very possible it does. The contract is in review now so there's a decent chance it makes the cut.

Dynamic mining is what allows the tokens to have Mining Powers that are different from token to token (ranchers vs coders as an example). The governance contract, which is the next and final smart contract for this project, is what allows those Mining Powers to change by burning $farmgov.

So, feeling even stronger that we'll get mining up and running in November, and will likely have governance operational by December.

Yes, yes I am. So, you'll be happy to know you can pay with DEC. Adding use cases to DEC is always good. Also turns out I (by "I" I mean Reaz) added PAL and LEO too. I forgot to accept Sims so I'll get that going here too in a moment. Basically any coin with close to $1000/day in volume (or my beloved PAL) I'm willing to accept for value.

But think this through. If this game prototype can start a defi boom on Hive how do you think that will impact splinterlands? I'm of the opinion that it's best for the ecosystem to have lots of successful projects here, and that's what I'll be building.

Actually, what's nice is that there isn't so much work to build them now. Since the smart contracts are modular and the front end is already built it's mostly coming up with a design and some art. Both of which are cheap and easy (insert Your Mom joke here). So, you can expect more of these mining games to appear. Each will have a fun twist. And each time that we pull people in to play the game I think it's most likely that Splinterlands has a new customer and the Hive Ecosystem grows a touch more.

Anyway, 2 days in and 5% are gone. Some of the best deals are gone. Hate to say it, but you've already missed out and 2 of the best deals, but there's still some good stuff left... for now.
