Day-732-Freewrite Tuesday Gut Feeling
Below is my five minute #freewrite on today's prompt: gut feeling

When we were visiting Debbie's folks in Nebraska last month, we always try to make a cemetery visit to leave flowers and clean up headstones of the dearly departed. It can get pretty emotional hearing the stories about aunts, uncles, and grandparents. A lotta the headstones in this cemetery were dated back in the 1800's and were very ornate. The headstone in my photo was especially moving for me, even though there was no relation to Debbie's family. The unique photo etching in the marble was so beautiful I had to take a photo. My mamma and daddy are in a National Cemetery so all the markers are the same, but I'm sure this one costs a pretty penny! Going to any cemetery is gut wrenching for me, but since I've retired in 2013, I've been to quite a few funerals and I don't like it!

I picked up a couple of the new quest reward cards today after I won my five battles using my Water Splinter.
@wonderwop I do not know why but I love going to old cemeteries, I stand there thinking about how their life was lived. When I went to NYC I visited 2 cemeteries one was across from the world trade center, the stones were black from the fire but the little church had no damage not even a window broke and all the buildings around it had there windows blown out.

That is a beautiful headstone.
My friends and I were just talking about how many of our mutual friends have already passed on. I don't like it either - and it is not a conversation we would have had in our twenties...

That truly is an awfully impressive headstone.
I love cemeteries, visiting them, and photographing them. They've very peaceful in their own way. I like to imagine the stories that must be held in each of the plots, all the lives lived and loved. It's fascinating to me.

Same here, as I get older, it was the funerals that we attended more than the birthday parties that we used to go.
Very sad, but we need to show our support to the loved ones family.
