So, the long awaited day of the Untamed packs going live has finally arrived! In all honesty, I had forgotten about them... I had picked up ten packs... just to see what the hubbub was all about, but I think I will be hard pressed to field a decent team of Untamed monsters. Anyway, during the opening of the packs... I did get quite a nice selection of new Monsters and Summoners... some new skills to learn, the Opportunity skill is a particularly interesting one that might shake up the game a little bit.

Anyway, what one LOVES to see when opening packs... is that Shaky Shaky animation! That means a pretty special card is about to be revealed... a LEGENDARY! I was pretty happy that I managed to unveil this Dragon Jumper for the Dragon Splinter. It's an intersting card, but with the only way to level him via the purchase of Untamed packs (or direct purchases on the market...)... I don't think it is a card that I have much ability to use. I don't use the Dragon Splinter that much... and leveling this guy is just going to cost too much money for a casual game for me! I enjoy Splinterlands... but not quite that much!

So, I've savoured the moment of the unveiling.. but my pragmatic side says that I have to sell it... so, it is currently on the market for a ludicrously high price whilst the market does it's price discovery. I will be surprised (quite pleasantly...) if it sells, but I don't expect it to until I set a more reasonable price on the guy!

Another nice draw was this Gold Foil Herbalist.... at this level he only has a Cleanse ability and is otherwise pretty weak in combat and survivability. So, again without more cards to level (aka, money and investment). So, it is likely that this is a card that will eventually go out to the market in the near future... to be honest, I'm starting to wonder if the Gold Foils are really worth it for my style of playing... I'm not a competitive gamer in this game... and the extra DEC drop is pretty minimal considering the few games that I end up playing.

A few Summoners round out the interesting draws for the Untamed packs. These Summoners do mix it up a bit with the Splinters, but again... I'm wondering about the actual personal use and utility for myself... the cost of levelling up the summoners up to a point where they can field Monsters that are comparable to what I already have is just not a cost that I can really justify. So, I will hold on to them for a bit longer... to see what the price discovery brings... but it is quite likely that I will sell them on the open market... they just are not worth anything to me, but perhaps they will be worth something to someone else!
