Battle link

If you didn’t know yet, @splinterlands has a weekly battle post competition. Whilst this post is not in line with this weeks battle conditions, I felt like it highlighted the effectiveness of the Gelatinous Cube. So I thought I would share with you.

The battle conditions were melee monsters locked up and monsters armoured up. With the melee monsters locked away I wanted a card that had plenty of health but could also buy me some time for my Prismatic Energy. So I went with the Gelatinous Cube is not only does it have high health it also has the scavenge ability. This proved to be a good move as whilst the Gelatinous Cube went down in battle it was resurrected by the High Priest Darius. And then held the line until the end of battle.

Second in my lineup was the Warrior of Peace. This was the only card in my lineup that I felt was not needed and could’ve been substituted out for another range monster. Although in hindsight if my Gelatinous Cube had failed to hold the front line, it would be a good card to still have in this position as it has high health. Which is why I picked this card second in my lineup.

In third position I placed the Prismatic Energy monster. I love this card as it has two magic attack and the reflect ability making it very strong against magic units. And with its high health it’s a very handy card. I find playing this card in the second or third position helps prevent it going down cheaply to high hitting melee monsters. The Divine Healer I feel is ideally played in the second, third or fourth position. In this battle I placed it in the fourth position to try and keep up my three high health cards in positions one through three. it proved instrumental in helping my Gelatinous Cube hold the front line, as Wellers dealing some damage at the same time. With the resurrection ability the only downside to the High Priest Darius is the fact that it cost 10 mana. I have found that it is most useful being used with high health cards and high armour cards. As when a monster is resurrected it only comes back with one health but full armour. The High Priest Darius not only saved my Gelatinous Cube it also hit the enemy hard with two magic attack each turn. Last in my line up I placed my air elemental as it has five health, two range attack and six speed. Making it a very strong card. I always play this card in my backline as it is hard for sneak monsters to hit. My Gelatinous Cube was so savage in this game devouring my opponent. It’s ability to shield my other cards from danger was well demonstrated. If you would like write a battle report of your own why not enter Splinterlands weekly battle contest.
