There's actually a new buyback system coming soon. Here's what they say about their new upcoming system (there is no set release date AFAIK)
The new system will distribute Steem from the prize pool on a daily basis. In order to receive part of the Steem players have to send the amount of Breadcrumbs they choose to a pool ingame. None can see how much Breadcrumbs are already in the pool for the day. After a period of 24 hours, the amount of Steem from the daily prize pool will be devided equally among everyone who has sent Breadcrumbs to the buyback pool. The Breadcrumbs players have sent will be gone. After all Steem is sent to the players, a list will be published ingame. This list will show all players and their amount they sent into the pool and the Steem they received in return.

I made an account, didn't start playing yet due to a slow connection. Should I?
I have no idea what you talk about/try to explain.
There's no real time combat in the game. it's fine to have slow internet. I don't know if the game will be your type. You can take a look and find out.
I need to load the site and that is already a huge problem. I cannot even load google, see photos or videos on a normal internet day. Slow means really slow. Loading steemit.com is not possible and a post - if it works - takes me 5-15 minutes. If I can not load a homepage and sign in I can not play either. If I have a fast connection I'll try it for sure. 💕
