Why I invest in Ketchup instead of LAND in Splinterlands
Did you bought som LAND this first stage? I did not. I bought ketchup.
20 days ago I started to count down to the day when they should start sell LAND. I noticed in my calender and see that I dont will go away. Some friends should come here but that should not stop me to go to the computer some minutes.
Today I started to refill my Paypal and buy Credits in Splinterland. Everything should be there when the presale should start.
5 hours left - I check the clock more than 10 times today. Just dont want to miss this.
1 hour left- I am sitting at my computer and think that this will be so AWESOME
50 Minutes left - I know that my son want ketchup to todays dinner so I decided to take my bike to the store and buy some. And some candy of course. WHY??? Why couldn´t I wait? Why go away when it was 50 minutes left. That is pure idioty....
Suddenly, at my way home I checked and it was 17:15. 15 minutes AFTER the presale start. I logged in and it was to late. SOLD OUT. So have to wait 20 more days.
But I have ketchup....three of them...

I did number 1 but not number 2. This was the result.
I will get some land from my ETH/DEC-contribution to Uniswap. But still - this was second IDIOT result in my investments this week. The firtst was to loose 25 USD in Rabona. But that is anouther story.

How long did it take before it sold out if you were counting down? That sucks it sold out so quickly I couldn't get any :( lets hope we can get some with the LP providers

the ketchup? Well it was pretty easy. I just went to the shop and bought it....LOL
4 minutes or less.
I know I will get some from LP. But I think I have some unluck here too. Because I have read that you will get 1 Land for 0,1 % of the pool. I just checked and our pool is 0,395.... So close...
I usually dont beg - But this time you should give me a !BEER to chear me up my friend.
LOL 4 mins, what a joke, I also think I won't be getting any LP land, I think this land thing has been more fo a hype, unfortunately, I will try in 20 days since I have the DEC to spend but I'm not so excited about it anymore

BEER.At least 90% were sold within the first second thanks to reserving 27 Regions for whales. There were at least demand for 48 Regions from whales when the sales started. I doubt it took more than 10 seconds.

So then what is the point of even advertising the sale or getting us to be LP providers if the land was already just going to go to whales? If they knew they had enough buyers why bother letting the rest of us try just to fail seems like a waste
Don’t care, the probability to get in if you would have been on time at your desk was also very low. So you have ketchup at least 😊

Chances were good you would have not gotten in even if you didn't go to get ketchup.
This was the best post I have ever read about lands so far. At least you messed up all by yourself and weren't a victim of the RNG, as many of the unlucky investors today. Like myself.
