Guys!!!! I’ve gotten so good at talking about Splinterlands than actually playing the game, after all my ramblings and bluff from my last weeks post, one would think I will wake up everyday to play Splinterlands and kick ass as I promised, but guess who hasn’t even played one battle since then? Me!

But that's not even why I'm writing this post, I'm at a crossroad again, my Splinterlands deck is now worth a bit over $1k, the last time I wrote about it, it was just a bit over $900, all the way from $360 just six months ago,

Now

Splinterlands has been a beast through the dumping crypto market and I admit that a large portion of that is attributed to the SPS airdrop as people are scampering to load up their deck.

It's crazy right?! I know....

The ultimate question is, when do I take profit? I love the game no doubt, but I'm also in it to make some money while having fun, with the little we've seen from this bull run, these price spikes can not be timed, I've seen most of my holdings loose almost 70% of their value, I've also had a good time knocking myself for not selling some at their highs, will history repeat itself with Splinterlands?

One interesting thing though is that unlike other airdrops where people buy the rumor and sell the news leading to a dump of the airdropped tokens, Splinterlands employed an interesting tactic by making the airdrop last all year long so eligible people will receive the tokens subsequently throughout the year instead of all at once, this will drastically reduce the sale pressure of the tokens if at all there will be and sustain the price of the token.

Most of you know I’m a sucker for holding my assets long term, especially when I fully recognize its use case and potential value, it’s no different this time, it’s either I hit totally or I miss totally! No in between.... There are chances that I haven’t seen anything yet as far as my deck worth is concerned, there's also a chance that this is just a pump triggered by the news about the air drop....

However, long term holding has never done me wrong, though sometimes I could have sold some assets just to buy back more when they dipped , but a that is always easy to think about in hindsight, there are cases where one sells and it just happens to be one of lows, only for the tokens to skyrocket right after. And there are times when one sells and it happens to be one of the best moves....

In any case I’m coming to the conclusion that I’m willing to hold my entire deck for a minimum of 5 years, this will be the last post where I solely talk about the value of my deck and whether I want to sell or hold, if the worth of the deck spirals down though then trust I’ll be here to cry about it, but it hopefully I won't have to.

So how high will my deck go? Let's find out in some weeks or months or years....

Thanks for your attention....

Don't take any profit now bro. Wait till the Airdrop rolls out and then ride it till it pays something worth while. Selling now will just slow down your progress and reduce your chances of ever beating me in a one vs one battle.
