LANDS POOL? - You interested?

Peakmonsters has the ability to buy a region... the question is what would be our usage? As a business perhaps an investment to sell later? We still don't know what the benefits will be for guilds. So we are on the fence still. We have put much of our DEC into the UNISWAP pool as we see that as a great way to help the community.

But here's our question for today... IF we ran a POOL for lands for our loyal users/guild members who would be interested? It could be nice to be in a REGION that votes for the interests of peakmonsters users.

Each claim/plot would be 7500dec i would suppose and we would guarantee that we would buy a region..
We would keep the DEC in a separate account and portion out the claims when they are recieved based on who has put DEC into that account.

If there is enough interest in the comments below we will announce an official pool, tell us how many plots you'd be getting. If not best of luck on everything.

I would potential be interested. Are you thinking that you would buy a region then we buy the plots from you so we would be close to each other?

yes exactly and so that our users all get the discount that happens when buying a region.

As a guild member I am finding this very useful. Just how you would organize all the process. I am with under 100k DEC.

I have about 150K of DEC for Land and I might be interested in pooling it to get the 15% or more discount. I'll check back to see if others are considering this as well.

I would definitely be interested, and would be able to secure a tract within it.

I'm not a member of the guild by the way, but I am an avid user of the trading website :).

I would be interested in joining your pool as a guild member and user of peakmonsters. I would be able to contribute 750K DEC to purchase a tract within the regional pool. Can you provide more details of a cut off date or when a final decision would be made around this, as well as how it would be portioned and distributed with all associated titles/extra prizes that may be involved? I would be cool for everyone to understand upfront what the finer details are when joining the pool. Ty!

  1. Cutoff would likely be before the purchase happens.
  2. IF splinterlands says that a region can be separated into tracts then we will do that. Then we will take one tract and separate it into plots for those wanting plots. That is of course dependent if splinterlands says this is possible.
  3. We have no decision date set as of yet.

No, just the obvious questions :P

Although I'm definitely interested in joining the pool, I haven't definitively made a final decision myself, pending any new info from the devs at the next AMA.

For 2. I see answer in Splinterland's FAQ post. I see that Peakmonsters can purchase 1 region now and receive 1 region token. When the game upgrade kicks in (they say expecting it Q2 or Q3 2021), then 1 region token will be replaced with 1000 plots NFT objects.

I ended up going with another pool that was a little more organised in the end. Apologies if I caused any inconvenience. I will however locate my land to be closer to peakmonster guild members if necessary for game play reasons. I guess we will need to see how that plays out in the latter stages of development.👍

I'm skeptical of the land thing and look at it as yet another thing to have to purchase in this game. I lose more interest with every update, it seems.
