Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge with Naga Fire Wizard.

Welcome to my blog where I'll share my winning match with Naga Fire Wizard in splinterlands. And with this post; I'm going to join SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge! Naga Fire Wizard.

Background

THEME: NAGA FIRE WIZARD
Edition: REWARD
Rarity: RARE
Element: FIRE
ATTACK: MAGIC
ABILITIES: Shield at level 1; Thorns at level 5

I normally like the magic monsters the most cause they can attack from wherever they want to unlike melee and ranged monsters who can attack only from the front and non-front. This Naga is a magic monster of fire splinter which looks like an exploding snake and maybe it lives in hell. With its bug fists and sharp teeth, it should be able to kill a monster easily. Being a magic monster, this one can be a fantastic asset on the battlefield when it comes to battling with the fire splinter.

My Naga Fire Wizard is in level 1 with 2 magic attacks, 1 speed, 1 shield & 5 health with the "Shield" ability, and it needs 8 mana to play.

Go on check out this card from Splinterlands Market if you wish to.

  3. Tell us about your lineup. Explain why you put each card in that position and why Naga Fire Wizard is a good fit for the ruleset.
    • So, to explain my lineup... Why did I use the cards I did? And why in that order?
Yeah about that... In this match; I've played with the fire splinter.
  4. Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
    • Yeah, my strategy worked out perfectly and I'll try to use similar helpful monsters next time if I need to.
  5. Share your post to some OTHER Social Media site.
    • I'm going to share this post with the #splinterlands hashtag on Twitter after publishing this post.

A Brief Info About The Match

The battles mana cap was 27 with the "Standard" rule where I've used the fire splinter and my opponent also used the earth splinter against me.

My Lineup.

image.png

I had my Molten Ogre in level 1, Fineas Rage in level 1, Naga Fire Wizard in level 1 & Furious Chicken in level 1.

And my opponent had his/her cards as Nectar Queen (Gold) in level 3, Failed Summoner in level 1, Khmer Princess in level 1, Spirit Shaman in level 1, Earth Elemental in level 1 & Barking Spider (Gold) in level 1.

Let me talk about monsters that I used in this battle.

No 01: Molten Ogre (COMMON Fire Monster)

This monster looks huge and you shouldn't ignore his big four packs on the belly. Are the four packs or eight? I'm kinda confused now. BTW... this monster is not only scary from the visual, this one becomes scary on the battlefield as well with its "Demoralize" ability which reduces the melee attack of all enemy monsters. Molten Ogre needs 9 mana for battle and I'm using this monster in level 1 to share a battle. My Molten Ogre is in level 1 with 3 melee attacks, 1 speed & 10 health with the "Demoralize" ability.

No 02: FINEAS RAGE (RARE Fire Monster)

I used to like Giant Orc for "reach" ability till I've found out about Fineas Rage.
When you find a high mana clip battle and you decide to play with the fire splinter, Fineas Rage should be in the second position without further ado.

I used my Fineas Rage is in level 1 with 2 melee attacks, 5 speed & 8 health with "Reach" ability, and it needs 7 mana to battle.

No 03: NAGA FIRE WIZARD (RARE Fire Monster)

No 04: Furious Chicken (Rare Neutral Monster)

This is the card that I use when there's a slot left but no mana left. I mean its service is great for free I suppose. Right now... I can't imagine playing a match without this card.
It's like the chicken that lays the golden egg. It provides great support with its counterattack. With 0 mana... it's just amazing.

My Furious Chicken is in level 1 with 1 speed, 1 health and It needs 0 mana to play.

  • In my personal opinion... Naga Fire Wizard is a nice fit for the ruleset.

For the special buff of my summoner, all my melee monsters got +1 melee attack each, and for the special buff of my opponent's summoner, all monsters of my opponent got +1 health each. Then for the "Demoralize" ability of my Molten Ogre, the only melee monster of my opponent lost 1 melee attack. Then... my Naga Fire Wizard started the battle with its first attack on the Nectar Queen of my opponent and it missed its first attack. Then together the Spirit Shaman, the Barking Spider, and the Nectar Queen of my opponent attacked and killed 5 health of my Molten Ogre out of 10 which is half the health it had. Then the Khmer Princess of my opponent attacked and killed another health of my Molten Ogre and my Nagar Fire Wizard then attacked for the first time and it attacked the Nectar Queen of my opponent and killed 2 health of that opponent monster out of 12. Then the Earth Elemental of my opponent attacked and killed another health of my Molten Ogre so my Molten Ogre had only 2 health at that moment and it didn't attack yet for having the lowest speed. But then my Molten Ogre attacked for the first time and it attacked the Nectar Queen of my opponent and it killed 4 health of that opponent monster out to 10. Then the first round got finished with this big attack.

image.png

My Fineas Rage didn't miss its target this time... it successfully killed 3 health of the Nectar Queen of my opponent out of 6. Then after getting some more attacks, my Molten Ogre got killed and this was the first kill in this battle. Then my Fineas Rage came forward to the first position and started getting hit although it didn't have to get a lot of hits. My Fineas Rage then attacked and killed the Nectar Queen of my opponent and then got some hits back. Then my Naga Fire Wizard attacked the Failed Summoner of my opponent and that opponent monster returned the attack.

image.png

Then it was only my Naga Fire Wizard who was in charge of my team when my opponent had 3 monsters and all of em could attack but the funny thing was that two ranged monsters of my opponent were attacking my Nagar Fire Wizard, they couldn't kill any health because of the "Shield" ability of my Naga Fire Wizard which reduces damage from melee and ranged attacks. But the Spirit Shaman of my opponent kept attacking and killing the health of my Naga Fire Wizard and my Naga Fire Wizard also kept attacking it.

image.png

Then this moment came which was the golden moment for both the team and that moment alone was able to decide who's gonna win the battle. My Naga Fire Wizard was left with only 1 health after getting the last hit of the Spirit Shaman of my opponent. The Spirit Shaman meant to die in next but if any ranged monsters of my opponent team could kill a single health of my Naga Fire Wizard then I'd lose the battle for sure. Then my Nagar Fire Wizard successfully killed the Spirit Shaman of my opponent. Then only the Barking Spider of my opponent team tried to attack my Naga Fire Wizard but it kept missing it because of the "Shield" ability of my Naga Fire Wizard and my Naga Fire Wizard kept attacking and killing 2 healths of the Earth Elemental of my opponent every time and it continued for around 3-4 rounds.

image.png

I got sure about my winning at that moment cause my opponent had only one ranged monster at the front who was unable to throw any attack. Another 3-4 rounds went by till my Naga Fire Wizard successfully Killed the last monster of my opponent. AND... my Furious Chicken got spared, no one grilled it in this battle.

The battle got finished in round 16 while my team still had two monsters alive includes the Naga Fire Wizard. It was indeed a fantastic battle that my team fought especially the Naga Fire Wizard did awesome there on the battlefield.
