Splinterlands Battle - A Battle with Grim Reaper.

You're in the blog of Ismail Fahim.

I'm attending the weekly battle challenge of splinterlands.
This week's theme is Grim Reaper.

Grim Reaper is a reward monster in death splinter. This is a monster with ranged attack.

This can level up to level 6 but for that I need a summoner of higher level also.
I don't have a summoner that's in higher level so I tried this monster on level 1 with my level 1 death summoner.

Power: This is a nice card with 3 ranged attack, 2 speed, 3 health in level 1.

Abilities: It has an ability named Affliction in level 1.

Affliction Ability:
When a monster with affliction hits a target, it has a chance of applying affliction on the target causing it to be unable to be healed.

This ability can be found at level 1.

I played with death monster team.

It was a battle of total 29 mana with one rule and that is-
Standard: No modification to the standard gameplay rules and mechanics.

ABILITIES: Heal at level 1, Magic reflect at level 4, Void at level 7.

This is a death monster, in the first level it has melee attacks (2), Speed (2), Health (7).

It has one ability in the 1st level which is-
Heal: Restores a portion of the monster's health each round.
And another ability in the fourth level which is-
Magic Reflect: When hit with magic damage does reduced magic damage back to the attacker.
And another ability in the seventh level which is-
Void: Reduced damage from magic attacks.

Element: Neutral
Attack: Melee & Ranged
ABILITIES: Retaliate at level 1; Trample at level 4.

This is a neutral monster, in the first level it has melee attacks (2), ranged attack (1), Speed (3), Health (8).

It has one ability in the 1st level which is-
Retaliate: When hit with a melee attack, monsters with retaliate have a chance of attacking their attacker.
And another ability in the fifth level which is-
Trample: When a monster with trample hits and kills its target, it will perform another attack on the next monster on the enemy team.

ABILITIES: Slow at level 1, Rust at level 5, Demoralize at level 8.

This is a death monster, in the first level it has magic attacks (2), Speed (1), Health (4).

It has one ability in the first level which is-
Slow: Reduces the speed of all enemy monsters.
And another ability in fifth level which is-
Rust: Reduces the armor of all enemy monsters.
And another ability in eight level which is-
Demoralize: Reduces the melee attack of all enemy monsters.

Oppress: Does double damage when attacking an enemy that has no attacks.
And another ability in eight level which is-
Piercing: If melee or ranged attack damage is in excess of the target's armor, the remainder will damage the target's health.

And another ability in the seventh level which is-
Dodge: Has an increased chance of evading melee or ranged attacks.

This is a neutral monster, in the first level it has melee attacks (0), Speed (1), Health (1).

Enrage: Has increased melee attack and speed when damaged.

Battle Details

My Battle

• Round 01
  
  War chaang of my team attacked first. Then goblin chariot of my team attacked. Then after some monsters from both team attacked, grip reaper of my team attacked and used affliction on enemy teams front monster. No monster died in this round.

• Round 02
  
  After attacking sometime from both team, my teams haunted monster died first in this round.

• Round 03
  
  Enemy teams front monster died first in this round. Then attack was in place but no monster died again in this round.

• Round 04
  
  Enemy teams luminous eagle which was hard to kill but he died very first in this round. Then this round too ended without any more killing.

• Round 05
  
  Another enemy teams monster died in this round. Then my teams war chaang also died.

• Round 06
  
  Enemy team only had one monster that was not able to attack first position. It died early.
  My teams boogeyman killed last monster of enemy monster team.
  Then my team finished the battle in this round.

Did my strategy work? What will I try differently next time?

Yes my strategy worked nicely and I might try similar monsters with nice powers next time when I do some battle.
