Splinterlands Battle - A Battle with OCTOPIDER.

I'm attending the weekly battle challenge of splinterlands.
This week's theme is OCTOPIDER.

OCTOPIDER is a monster of dragon splinter. This is a monster with ranged attack.

This can level up to level 8 but for that I need a summoner of higher level also.
I don't have a summoner that's in higher level so I tried this monster on level 1 with my level 1 death summoner.

Power: This is a nice card with 3 ranged attack, 3 speed, 7 health in level 1.

Abilities: It has an ability named demoralize in level 3 and another ability named blind in level 7.

Demoralize Ability:Reduces the melee attack of all enemy monsters.
This ability can be found at level 3.

Blind Ability:
All enemy melee and ranged attacks have an increased chance of missing their target.
This ability can be found at level 7.

I played with death monster team.

It was a battle of total 99 mana with one rule and that is-
Standard: No modification to the standard game play rules and mechanics.

This is a death monster, in the first level it has melee attacks (5), Speed (2), Health (9).

Trample: When a monster with trample hits and kills its target, it will perform another attack on the next monster on the enemy team.

Stun: When a monster with stun hits a target, it has a chance to stun the target causing it to skip its next turn.

ABILITIES: Flying and Reach at level 1, Thorns at level 4.

This is a dragon monster, in the first level it has melee attack (1), Speed (3), Health (6).

It has three abilities which are-

Flying: Has an increased chance of evading melee or ranged attacks from monsters who do not have the flying ability.

Reach: Melee attack monsters with this ability can attack from the second position.

Thorns: When hit with a melee attack, does damage back to the attacker.

ABILITIES: Retaliate at level 1; Trample at level 4.

This is a neutral monster, in the first level it has melee attacks (2), ranged attack (1), Speed (3), Health (8).

It has two abilities which are-

Retaliate: When hit with a melee attack, monsters with retaliate have a chance of attacking their attacker.

Trample: When a monster with trample hits and kills its target, it will perform another attack on the next monster on the enemy team.

Magic Reflect: Has increased melee attack and speed when damaged.

Void: Reduced damage from magic attacks.

Dodge: Has an increased chance of evading melee or ranged attacks.

Battle Details

My Battle

• Round 01
  
  Mischievous mermaid of my enemy team attacked first and that first attack was on undead rexx of my team and it took off one life of my teams undead rexx. Then fire spitter of my team attacked the second and that attack was a success on sea monster of enemy monster. Then water elemental of enemy team attacked undead rexx of my team. Then prismatic energy of my team attacked sea monster of enemy team. Then war chaang of my team attacked sea monster of enemy team. Then octopider of my team which is the theme monster of this week attacked sea monster of enemy team and that enemy teams sea monster almost got killed. Then manticore of my team attacked sea monster of enemy team and that enemy teams monster got died after all these attacks. Then medusa of enemy team attacked undead rexx of my team. Then undead rexx of my team attacked mischievous mermaid of enemy team and that enemy teams monster got died for the big attack. Then sea genie of enemy team attacked undead rexx of my team. The first round got ended like this. One monster of enemy team died in this round.

• Round 02
  
  Fire spitter of enemy team started this round by attacking sea genie of enemy team and then water splinter of enemy team attacked undead rexx of my team and that monster of my team got killed. Then prismatic energy of my team attacked sea monster of enemy team and that enemy teams monster got killed. Then war chaang and then octopider of my team attacked one after another and that attack was a success on medusa of enemy team and that enemy teams monster got killed for those two attacks. Then manticore of my team attacked water elemental of enemy team which was the last monster of enemy team. The second round got ended like this. Three monsters of enemy team and one monster of my team died in this round.

• Round 03
  
  Fire spitter of enemy team started this round by attacking the last monster water elemental of enemy team and then that enemy teams monster got some life back for heal ability. Then prismatic energy and then war chaang of my team one after another attacked the enemy monster. Then at last, octopider of my team which is the theme monster of this week attacked the last monster water elemental of enemy team and that enemy teams last monster got killed. Third round got finished like this. Only the last monster of enemy team died in this round.
  The battle ended in this round. Octopider of my team which is the theme monster of this week, was the one who killed the last monster of enemy team.

Did my strategy work? What will I try differently next time?

Yes my strategy worked nicely and I might try similar monsters with nice powers next time when I do some battle.
