Splinterlands art contest 123 - Recreating the Fire Beetle

Hello everyone...
I recreated the splinterlands fire beetle in this round, this is my entry for the splinterlands art contest by @splinterlands.

I started with my own rough pencil sketch like I always do, then I started the digital art process by drawing the upper and lower body of the beetle. I went ahead to draw the legs and did a colour gradient, a mix of black and red and it came out good.

I added the feathers and used black for it, didn't want anything shiny, fire is shiny enough. I drew the eyes, mouth and I you can see fire coming out from its mouth.

This came together in a couple of hours and I had fun creating it.
