Carrion Shade

Overview

Let's start with what has to be said. This is a one mana card. As such it will never have incredible stats, but can be used in almost every game.
This cards starts to shine for the lucky people among us, as it gets Flying at level 3 and with this it increases the chance to avoid the enemy melee and ranged attacks. On it's highest level it has 2 melee damage, 4 speed and 3 health.

In most fights this card is used as a buffer to protect the important cards against direct hit, sneak or opportunity attacks.

Let's check out it's usefulness in a fight:

Now lets check out a fight.
Ruleset:

  • 23 Mana
  • Fire, Water, Earth, Life, Death and Dragon allowed
  • No special ruleset

This fight clearly demonstrates, how Carrion Shade protected Silent Sha-Vi in the first round, leading to a simple victory for my team.

Nice - I sometimes over-rely on the low mana cards as a first slot meat-shield. This was a nice low mana cost tactic to keep some damage off of your team from sneak.

Definitely they are great front, back and even against opportunity and snipe attacks :)
