Child of The Forest, What Can You Do? | Splinterlands Share Your Battle Challenge

I dread battling with my Earth Splinters.

Just like I do with Life. Like, each time time the quest involves the Life or Earth splinters, I most of the time choose a new quest. What I did not realize though, is that my Earth cards are not that bad at all.

Season End

Two days ago, I was battling my heart out in my attempt to still league up hours before the season end. I opened up splinterlands on my mobile, and you guessed right. My quest was to win 5 battles with Earth splinter. Arrrhhh, why now?!

All right, all right, let's do this!

During the quest, I realized that my Earth cards ain't that shabby at all! My quest got over fast in a 5-win streak, and what's more, I unexpectedly leagued up to Diamond III (I was trying miserably for a week).

Child of the Forest

Our character of the week, Child of the Forest, is someone that I do not use all the time. I mean, I don't really use my Earth cards, so what do you expect? Lol.

Okay, so during the quest, I was able to use Child of the Forest twice. Here's one of them.

Rule Set:

• 29 Mana Cap
• Reverse Speed
• Odd Ones Out
• Can Play With : Fire, Earth, Life, Death, and Dragon

Let's Play!

• Summoner : Lyanna Natura
• First Line: Nectar Queen
• Second Line: Spirit Druid Grog
• Third Line : Goblin Charriot
• Fourth Line : Child of the Forest
• Fifth Line: Screeching Vulture

My Summoner gave my splinters extra life.

Nectar Queen, my front liner got one reduced attack c/o Zintar Mortalis. She is supported by the Spirit Druid Grog with two damage magic attack, and can resurrect her in sheer bad luck that she dies.

The Goblin Chariot, Child of the Forest, and the Screeching Vulture all proved competent in the battle, having ranged attack, snipe, and opportunity abilities.

"What's special with the Child of the Forest?"

Well, he is a small mana card-- 3 mana and is fast with 5 speed at Level 1. Lyanna Natura can give him an extra life for a total of 3, which can fairly stand a good chance with good support.

Amazingly, my cards didn't even break a sweat (a bragging statement we use at home when not any of our cards die in a battle), and won!

Will I use it again?

After that amazing win streak with my Earth cards the other day, I'd say I am more confident to battle with them already. Of course, Child of the Forest would be one of the cards that will most probably appear on the pick, given the low mana cost and speed. He might not join the pack though, in high mana cap games because of his low damage attack.
