I Bought Some Land - [Splinterlands]

Splinterlands was a game I heavily invested in two years ago. But I admit the last year I haven't paid it much attention. It was the HIVE community that got me back and from that I have gotten back into Splinterlands again.

A new investment of mine while not massive compared to two years ago is still a good solid investment I feel and that is land!

I ended up picking up just 10 plots seen here for a total cost of 140,000 DEC

The plan was to buy more over time but I realized it was a one time buy lol I see the option to cancel and most likely order a larger package but for now I'm going to hold off and see if they actually sell out. If not they get listed up on the market till the end of the year.

I've been doing some research into land and how it's all going to work. Of course all of this could change and you never really fully know how it works till you dive in and actually do it.

From the sounds of it each plot of land can have monster cards on it but also more importantly they each need a summoner card. Now that's huge! As summoner cards are hard to come by at least the high level ones. The other important factor is I believe if they are on lands they can not be used in battles!

This will put new demand on cards but a high demand on summoners which is sure to really start ramping up prices. Just the other day I was thinking about converting all of my extra beta cards which are hundreds if not thousands into DEC since selling them is such a pain in terms of time invested. But after reading this I'm going to hold on to them and see if perhaps these extra cards could be used on my lands instead allowing me to still use my max cards in battle.

All in all I consider this an investment, an investment in a game that pays out decent winnings when active but also is a fun site that is sure to bring in value to the Hive block chain.

The other aspect I have been investing into lately is DEC but I'm not ready to spill the beans on that just yet ;)
