Splinterlands - 2 Interesting Battles with 2 different Legendary Summoners!!!

avatar

Hello Friends,

image.png

We have got 5 Legendary Summoners from Untamed versions as we know with Yodin Zaku from Fire Splinter, Mimosa Nightshade from Death, Camila Sungazer from Dragon, Chanseus The Great from Life and recently we got Lir Deepswimmer from Water Splinter.
I have gone thru many battles against these Legendary ones and lost most of them, which isn't a shame considering the abilities these summoners offers to the monster they summon.
But, when the opposite happens, i.e. me battling against these Legendary summoners and winning battles, makes me feel I so happy and here I would like to share couple of battles I won against Yodin Zaku and the latest summoner Lir Deepswimmer against some quality players.

Battle 1 - Against Lir Deepswimmer:

Whenever I see a Melee Mayhem or Super Sneak battles, the first thing I get to mind is the Life Splinter because of the armors it offers which can be handy since we can expect melee monsters used extensively in such battles.
I had this battle with unprotected and melee mayhem rulesets and 34 MANA, which was good enough to accommodate 6 good monsters as below:

1. Lord Arianthus:

image.png

You can see me using this beast in front position in melee mayhem and back position in super sneak battles because of it's thorn ability and also it has the magic reflect along with magic void with shield abilities which are handy against melee and magic monsters and shield even reduces the effect of ranged attack monsters.

2. Silvershield Paladin:

image.png

Another good front monster with abilities of shield and magic reflect and a perfect one for melee mayhem as well as super sneak battles.

3. Cave Slug:

image.png

An opportunity monster with Scavenger ability to leech the life, one of the most used monster by me as it also gives 3 melee attack.

4. Silvershield Assassin:

image.png

I use this in almost every Life Splinter battles simply because it gives that much needed back end attack with poison and double strike and when I use this with Silvershield Knight, it gets inspired to give (3+3) 6 attack in each round.

5. Divine Healer:

image.png

A healer which also slows down opponent's monsters with that useful 1 magic attack.

6. Silvershield Knight:

image.png

I mostly use this in the middle or back end just to utilize it's inspire ability to the max.

Battle Details:

image.png

I was bit curious as I didn't have many battles yet against Lir Deepswimmer summoner since it offers Return Fire provides 2 armors and also blinds all my monsters to have a chance of those missing the hit.

Round 1:

Opponent lost half of his monsters in this round and that eased my pressure and usage of Silvershield Assassin proved a wise one here as it removed 2 back end monsters Furious Chicken and Feasting Seaweed and remaining monsters from my side accounted for the front monster on other side Torhilo The Frozen.

image.png

Round 2:

While Round 1 had 23 iterations, round 2 had just 12 and those 12 iterations were enough to remove the remaining 3 monsters from opponent and we normally have 2 or 3 rounds only when we use these Legendary monsters, but the this battle with that Legendary monster on opposite side also got completed in just 2 rounds!!!

image.png

The turning points as for as this battle is consideres are, inspire by Silvershield Knight, usage of Silvershield Assassin to attack from back end and opponent's lack of high profile melee monsters and also, I didn't use any ranged monster to get return fire.
All in all, the battle wasn't that interesting as it got over in just 2 rounds!!!

Battle 2 - Against Yodin Zaku:

When there is high MANA cap or atleast 35+ and when the Keep Your Distance(only magic and ranged monsters allowed) ruleset is on, I always go with Water Splinter since I can use Lord A to full use in such battles.
In this battle also, I had Keep You Distance ruleset on and I didn't think much and went with a lineup as below with Water Splinter against the mighty Yodin Zaku:

1. Lord Arianthus:

image.png

One of the highly preferred monsters against Water Splinter magic monsters and even it is good one against melee attack monsters as well.
This being a Keep Your Distance battle, I thought of using this.

2. Prismatic Energy:

image.png

I use this in combination with Lord Arianthus to tackle the blast magic monsters like Ruler of the Seas besides utilizing it's good health for protecting the other monsters to follow from getting early exposure to attack.

3. Sea Genie:

image.png

This provides the +1 health and gives me 4(3+1 for Water summoner usage) and being a flying monster, has more chances of evading attack from melee and ranged attack monsters.

4. Rule of the Seas:

image.png

Who doesn't like this beast? I always use this monster whenever it's enabled and utilize it's blast with reducing magic attack thru it's silence ability and not to forget the speed increasing swiftness ability.

Phantom of the Abyss:

image.png

Not much used because of it's huge MANA requirement, but whenever there is an opportunity to use this, I will go for it.
It gives 4 magic attack and evades melee and ranged attack due to it's dodge and flying abilities.

6. Halfling Alchemist:

image.png

Used this to accommodate the last pending 2 MANA as this can reduce the attack from front monster by halving it.

Battle Details:

Yodin Zaku can take away the battle within moments and many battles I fought have mostly ended in 2 or 3 rounds max.

But, this time, I had the luck favoring me as the battle ended in my side in 4 rounds.

Round 1:

The magic monsters were up against the ranged and magic monsters from other side with ranged monsters getting boosted by Yodin Zaku.
Round 1 had 39 iterations!!! and couple of healing monsters used by opponent couldn't save the monsters from getting removed.
There was just one casualty in this round with opponent's magic healing monster Fire Beetle getting removed.

image.png

Round 2:

This was the round which took out 2 of my back end monsters in Halfling Alchemist and Phantom The Abyss thanks to sneak attack from Pyromaniac.
Opponent also lost his Prismatic Energy to bring Tortisian Chief to the front.

image.png

Round 3:

With still 3 best ranged attack monsters on his side, opponent was having good attack. But, the 3 magic monsters I had, were all with almost same speed as opponent's but Prismatic Energy's first blow to Tortisian Chief exposed the ranged monsters used by opponent and there was no looking back from then on.
3 monsters were lost by opponent on the trot here.

image.png

Round 4:

Battle got over in round 3 itself as the opponent's last monster Pyromaniac being a ranged attack monster, couldn't attack from the front position and bowed out.

image.png

Defeating Yodin Zaku was a dream for me which became true with this battle.
Yodin Zaku is the most dangerous Summoner among all the Legendary summoners we have.

These were couple of battles I will cherish for a longer time and I hope you enjoyed going thru these battles and this blog.

Wishing you Good Day :)

Thanks for sharing! - @ashikstd

So you won in both the battles.
Maybe I'd lose those battles if I were you out of fear.
You really did very well there.
Both of your lineup seemed so nice.
Good Luck.
