Splinterlands Weekly SHARE YOUR BATTLE Challenge with Furious Chicken Monster

Hi Friends,

Good day to you all and hoping that you guys are doing good and I am sure you are all gearing up for the weekend :)
We are in festive mood here in India with Maha Shivaratri festival is going on and it's the fasting day for us.
Let me get back to the theme for this week as part of this wonderful initiative of SHARE YOUR BATTLE weekly challenge.
The monster which I am going to write about is the most loved monster by all the Splinterlands battlers and it's none other than the zero cost monster of Furious Chicken.

Edition: Rewards.
Rarity: Rare.
Splinter: Neutral.
Mana Cost: ZERO (Yes, 0 cost).
Attack Type: Melee
Abilities: Enrage from level 5 onwards.
Like I said above, this is one of the most loved monsters by battlers as it costs nothing, but it just needs a vacant spot among the 6 maximum spots we can use in a battle and even though this is a zero cost monster, it's very powerful and can be used at the front or back end or even in the middle of the lineup based on the rulesets.

Stats:

As we see above, this zero cost monsters starts with no melee attack, but gains one as it's leveled up to 3 and can get a maximum of 2 melee attack in final level i.e. level 8.
The speed also starts at 1 and can increase to 2 in penultimate level i.e. 7.
The health for this monster is constant throughout it's 8 levels and it's just a single health monster.
The enrage ability makes it more stronger to increase the attack and speed, but that can only be exploited in very few rule sets like Equalizer for example.

Mana Cap: 19.
Rulesets: Back to Basics and Lost Legendaries.

Lineup:

Summoner: Contessa L'ament

image.png

Contessa L'ament is an Untamed version summoner which has the ability of reducing the ranged attack by 1 from opponent's lineup and this 3 mana cost monster is a good replacement for the Alpha/Beta version summoner of Zintar Mortalis.

Front Monster: Furious Chicken:

Since this was a battle with Back to Basics ruleset, I used this 0 cost monster to have that first blow from opponent and save the other monsters from first attack.

Second Monster: Creeping Ooze:

As I was left with a spare mana after setting u my lineup, I used this monster at second position to save other monsters from early exposure to opponent's monsters.

Third Monster: Animated Corpse:

image.png

Animated Corpse is the main melee monster for me although I placed Furious Chicken and Creeping Ooze ahead of it as I wanted to save Animated Corpse to stay longer in the battle and let the monsters following it to attack more and more.

Fourth Monster: Boogeyman:

image.png

Boogeyman was the lone magic attack monster in this lineup and used it as it gives 2 valuable attack and has 6 health.

Fifth Monster: Haunted Spider:

This and the next monster I used are the ranged attack monsters which give 2 attack at minimal mana cost of 3 and 2 respectively.

Sixth Monster: Undead Archer:

The last monster on my lineup was a 2 mana cost Undead Archer which gives 2 ranged attack for just 2 cost and with other rulesets, it gives that nice ability of affliction to remove healing ability from a monster it attacks.

The Conclusion:

This was one of those low mana cap battles and Furious Chicken although got removed in the first round itself, it helped other monsters stay alive and attack the opponent's monsters to get me a win.
