Welcome to the newest Splinterlands Untamed Packs opening video! If you have watched my previous openings, you probably know that there is also a giveaway inside this video...

It looks that calling out my luck in the last video made some great results... The last time the difference between these videos was 2 weeks, and now it is 11 days! It would be nice to have 2 packs for opening once per week... More cards for me, and some of you... :)

Anyway, I have opened 3 packs in this one... There is no luck regarding legendary cards, but still, 15 cards will come in handy for leveling up some of these, as the struggle in winning in this game is getting harder each season, each day...

Also, you will find a question inside the video... Answer on that easy question inside the comment section and be eligible for the giveaway... The lucky winner will be drawn in the next opening video...

If you are not playing this game, you can sign up here

Thanks for watching!

Yay!!! Thanks so much for the card! :) That made my morning. Now I can TRY to kick some butt with it.....

But yes, I have been having MY butt kicked a lot with this game since they changed the rules. What is frustrating is when you lose a bunch of games, you slide down in tiers and levels. I totally get if you lose a game, you shouldn't advance. That would make no sense, of course. But sliding down the tiers so drastically is a bit of a turn off. It's as if you're hanging on for dear life & falling off the cliff anyways.... so yeah...

Hopefully, things will improve. I still like playing sometimes since I still win a game every other day lol...we will see what the future brings. In the meantime, I will keep working on my card collection ;) 💚

Congrats @pixiepost. I can't really say with any real authority, since I only started playing a very short time before the rules changes. In general, yes, I think Bronze is a lot harder than before the changes. A lot more people seem to be hanging back leagues where they can more easily make the top ranks. For most newer players, there's a lot of difficulty in beating opponents with higher level/legendary cards, so you pretty much hope to be matched up with bots that don't handle rules variations well or other newer players.

Thank you so much! And you have very good points about SL. I am a newer player so I hope for those bots ha ha ha...It's okay though. It makes me more stubborn to win games :)

I find Splinterlands making bad decisions, and users' problems feedback falling on their deaf ears. It is known from before that in-game implementation of luck is problem for users, and now I have seen how bad implementation of pairing was then and is now. Everything in collection-power-era is bad, or to be accurate everything is good for bots now.

From my own experience pairing in Bronze is equal to disaster once you get into Silver range of rating points. Splinterlands in-game pairing system is stubbornly matching you only with far lower ranked players, I have seen up to 1000 points less rated my opponent. Bad things that pairing is doing are one loss is equal to a dozens of wins, and you stand no chance to fight for leaderboard rewards since you never play with players in leading positions. Only bots are good with this system because they are 24/7 accumulating wins and are constantly enlarging their ratings.

Winning 100% of battles against far less rated players is not possible. Although ELO rating system is used, in-game implementation is very bad because of the way ELO was tweaked.

Cheers!

so right. it's a high risk, low reward every time you get paired with one of those way lower accounts. i have an alt account in bronze and it's brutal. if you get a bad ruleset or a really low mana battle where luck plays more of a role, one loss is equal to roughly 12 wins, so it's a major risk.

i'm playing in diamond, so it's definitely harder after the change. most of the easy wins against bots are gone as they tend to stay in the gold leagues and below. diamond has also been really tough because we are battling champion decks for the first half of each season before they all level up and move out. so the game is way more competitive now.

rewards have been pretty terrible lately, but the drive for packs on the new leaderboard keeps me playing lol

Pairing is really influencing your rating in a negative way. Namely, being all the time paired to players with way lower rating than yours is preventing you to have higher rating and even to be in leaderboards reward group. In two consequent seasons I was very close to Bronze,20th place, and the reason why I did not succeed was the pairing since I did not fight against direct rivals for rewards at all.
Good to point out is that in Bronze, system is forcing low mana battles, up to 1000 rating points difference, avoiding to match you against direct rivals, many battles lost to lower rated players because of illogical working luck. One loss to lower rated player is disastrous to your rating. Since low mana battles are forced, losses are unavoidable.
