Hello guys,

Today I am going to share with you another battle in @splinterlands.

Battle details:
I played with earth splinter. And my opponent also used a earth splinter against me.

It was a battle of total 46 mana with two rules:
Holy Protection: All monsters have the divine shield ability
Earthquake: Non-flying monsters take 2 melee damage at the end of each round.

I had my LYANNA NATURA level 8, HYDRA level 4, OAKEN BEHEMOTH level 4, SAND WORM level 10, BROWNIE level 5, SPIRIT OF THE FOREST level 4 and CYCLOPS level 8.
And my opponent had his/her cards as LYANNA NATURA level 8, FLESH GOLEM level 10, PRISMATIC ENERGY level 8, SPIRIT OF THE FOREST level 3, WOOD NYMPH level 10, CORNEALUS level 4 and CYCLOPS level 8.

Let me talk about monsters that I used in this battle.

~LYANNA NATURA. level 8

This rare earth summoner adds +1 Health to all friendly monsters. It needs 3 mana.

~HYDRA. level 4

Edition: BETA
Rarity: LEGENDARY
Element: NEUTRAL
Attack: MELEE
ABILITIES: Heal at level 1, Thorns at level 2, Retaliate at level 3, Trample at level 4.

This is a neutral monster, in this level it has melee attacks (4), Speed (4), Health (10).

It has four abilities at this level which are-
Heal: Restores a portion of the monster's health each round.
Thorns: When hit with a melee attack, does damage back to the attacker.
Retaliate: When hit with a melee attack, monsters with retaliate have a chance of attacking their attacker.
Trample: When a monster with Trample hits and kills its target, it will perform another attack on the enemy team.

It needs 7 mana.

HYDRA is a great monster. This time I decided to use HYDRA as my main tank.

~OAKEN BEHEMOTH. level 4

Edition: DICE
Rarity: LEGENDARY
Element: EARTH
Attack: MELEE and MAGIC
ABILITIES: Reach and Void Armor at level 1, Knock Out at level 2, Dodge at level 3 and Trample at level 4.

This is a earth monster, in this level it has melee attacks (3) and magic attacks (2), Speed (3), Health (11), Armor(4)

It has five abilities at this level which are-
Reach: Melee attack monsters with the reach ability can attack from the second position of the team.
Void Armor: Magic attacks hit armor before they hit health.
Knock Out: Does double damage when attacking an enemy that is stuned.
Dodge: Has increased chance of evading melee or ranged attacks.
Trample: When a monster with Trample hits and kills its target, it will perform another attack on the enemy team.

He needs 12 mana.

This monster does a lot of damage. Also I thought that having a few monsters with trample would be better than having one monster with tranple...

~SAND WORM. level 10

Rarity: COMMON
Element: Neutral
Attack: Melee
ABILITIES: Sneak at level 1, Snare at level 6, Piercing at level 10.

This is a neutral monster, in this level it has melee attacks (7), Speed (4), Health (7).

It has three abilities at this level which are-
Sneak : tacks the last opponent's monster instead of the first.
Snare: removes the flying ability by attacking flying monsters.
Piercing: does damage to monster's health even if that monster has armor.
This card needs 9 mana.

Market.

This monster is awesome weapon of mass destruction. Quite often it destroys a few of my opponent's monsters.

~BROWNIE. level 5

Rarity: EPIC
Element: EARTH
Attack: MELEE
ABILITIES: Haste at level 1, Inspire at level 4.

This is a earth monster, in this level it has melee attacks (1), Speed (6), Health (2).

It has two abilities at this level which are-
Haste: All friendly monsters have increased speed.
Inspire: Gives all friendly monsters +1 melee attack.

This card needs 1 mana.

Market.

In this battle I had a lot of melee monsters. So paying 1 mana to increase their already great power seemed like a good idea.

~SPIRIT OF THE FOREST. level 4

Edition: ALPHA
Rarity: LEGENDARY
Element: EARTH
Attack: RANGED
ABILITIES: Flying and Snipe at level 1, Tank Heal at level 2 and Protect at level 3.

This is a earth monster, in this level it has ranged attack(3), Speed (6), Health (8).

It has four abilities at this level which are-
Flying: Has an increased chance of evading melee or ranged attacks from monsters who do not have flying ability.
Snipe: Targets enemy monsters with ranged, melee or no attack that are not in the first position.
Tank Heal: Restores a portion of the monster in first position health each round.
Protect: All friendly monsters gain +2 armor.
This card needs 7 mana.
Market.

I wanted to use this monster because it gives armor to my entire team and heals my tank. HYDRA already has healing but I still wanted to have a healer in my team in case HYDRA would fall. also I needed to use a snipe monster to complete my daily quest

~CYCLOPS. level 8

Rarity: RARE
Element: NEUTRAL
Attack: RANGED
ABILITIES: Shield at level 3, Stun at level 6.

This is a neutral monster, in this level it has ranged attacks (3), Speed (2), Health (9).

It has two abilities at this level which are-
Shield: Reduced damage from melee and ranged attacks.
Stun: When a monster with stun hits a targer, it has a chance to stun the target causing it to skip its next turn.

This card needs 6 mana.

Market.

Most of the time I pick this monster mainly because it has stun ability. But this time it became a great tank for last position because SPIRIT OF THE FOREST added some armor to everyone in my team and this monster already had a shield ability.

After seeing my opponent's team I noticed that that he has a few monsters with magic reflect. Being glad that I don't have more mages in my team seems weird. But I guess where is a first time for everything...

Both teams had monsters with healing. So at this point neither side had lost any monsters.

My opponent lost his tank. It seemed that battle is turning in my favor.

Now things were starting to look better. My opponent was about to lose his second tank. And my SAND WORM was also beating CYCLOPS.

Now I was confident in my victory. But CORNEALUS was still very annoying.

It is cool when my monsters have healing. When my opponent's monsters have this ability it is no longer cool.

I knew that healer will be useful for my team. Now he was keeping my OAKEN BEHEMOTH alive.

My OAKEN BEHEMOTH was able to trample his way to victory.

In this battle I won 17.661 Dec and 10 League Rating. My strategy worked well- My melee monsters did a ton of damage. SPIRIT OF THE FOREST protected and healed my team. And CYCLOPS was my last position tank with stun ability.

SAND WARM is one of my favorite neutral monsters. But recently I was using it less often.

I would like having KRON THE UNDYING in my team. Having that last stand ability would be awesome. But I have no idea what I could replace in this team. Also perhaps it was for the best that I did not pick this monster... my opponent's magic reflect would have been a problem.

thank you very much. yes at times mana cap can be the biggest enemy. But it seems that this time it was my friend.
