SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge - With KOBOLD MINER...

Hi Dear - SplinterMates,

For this week's Battle Share Contest Organised by the SplinterLands Team; details can be found @ Weekly Splinterlands Battle Share:: For this week challenge, we have Earth Element Monster who is named as KOBOLD MINER; we will explore this monster in our post today. I strongly feel that Winning or losing battles does not matter. What matters most is how you stack up against your cards and build them. In this post we will explore KOBOLD MINER; share strategy around how a player uses the card i.e. its placing position on the battlefield and how often you use the card and at what level it works the best for you.

In this blog post; I'll be discussing some of the high-level pointers like::-

  • KOBOLD MINER Monster card level discussion, stats and how I am stack with the monster card KOBOLD MINER
  • Gameplay & Strategy discussed in detailed
  • Battle Results & How Often I use this earth element card KOBOLD MINER
  • A Final Note to keep things simple; simplicity is the one that is admired by most people & I'm one of them that likes to keep things clear and simple.

So how I'm stacked with this Earth Element KOBOLD MINER Monster? Here is the snapshot of this miner monster which I've at level 8 along with 37 plus cards.

I do have a GOLD Foil card of this Miner monster as well & here you can see that I've 8 GOLD Foil cards;

image.png

And if the truth be told, I've not used the Gold foil card and have been relying on the normal card which is at level 8

image.png

So what do think of having this KOBOLD MINER at level 8? I purposefully didn't max this card because I would have got extra health and extra power. But the cards that needed to be combined in the ratio of getting this extra ability were high and hence I left this miner at level 8. So far and to date; I've been doing well with this card and didn't feel the need to max it.

Let's talk a bit about the ability as well. Monsters having SNEAK ability allows attacking your opponent's last monster in the line-up. In a way its good coz., I've noticed that players have their strong cards placed at the last. Hence the monsters with SNEAK ability come in handy here.

Now that we know about the card and how I'm stacked up with it. Lets Battle As

THE::

So it was a 22 MANA CAP Battle with two rules; Super sneak & little league. I strongly feel that for the rule Little league the Fire Element monsters have a greater chance of winning. And we will notice in our battle as well if we did WIN or Lose the battle.

Here is the LINE-UP of our Monster Cards::-

image.png

If you carefully observe my line-up you would have noticed that I've used a healing monster as my front line monster; which is CERBERUS. And to further supplement its healing I have the BEETLE QUEEN. The rest monsters supplement each other, more to come down in the post.

Game Plan & Strategy Discussion::

CERBERUS; is a powerful earth monster and imagine at level 8 it becomes even more powerful. Its healing ability along with retaliate ability does the double damage to the opponent's monster. If you can further enhance or get the +1 Melee damage by using cards like ENCHANTED PIXIE gets your CERBERUS to do damage of 5 by its Melee attack.. this is what you call real damage.

I'll not be going into describing all the monsters line-up. But will focus on the major ones and the rest will keep it for you to explore via the battle. This gets you to understand better regarding the card placements and the strategy which is being discussed.

Here comes our MINER; the KOBOLD; which is at level 8, as I touched briefly at the starting of the post.

The beauty of this monster is its SNEAk ability and being a low mana cap card further adds to its value. For Low Mana cap cards its easy to fit them in your battle line-up and at the same time are very handy for low mana cap battles. As along with CERBERUS, this Miner was also able to get its Melee damage enhances via ENCHANTED PIXIE

GOBLIN SHAWMAN was the next to follow and was the prime reason to include SHAWMAN was to reduce the speed of my opponent's monsters.

Along with speed, we did reduce the health of opponent's monsters. I normally use this strategy of reducing speed and health so that my monsters get the first chance to attack and do the real damage first.

ENCHANTED PIXIE; we spoke a lot about it. So will skip talking about it. The main purpose to include ENCHANTED PIXIE was to inspire all my Melee attack monsters and it did a real good job here by inspiring and making my Melee monster further stronger.

BEETLE QUEEN; the Tank healer

Let's talk a bit about this queen the BEETLE. My recommendation here would be to have this card leveled up at level 5 so that you get the tank healing ability. You will notice the same that how this queen healed my tank most of the time when it was falling short of health and the queen came to rescue.

The rest is history and I'll keep it for you to explore in the Replay Match. So overall the strategy did work out well and here is the result:: A Clear WINNER getting me 44+ points and +25 DECs the In-game currency.

I'll be very frank here. I've been using KOBOLD MINER most of the time. And I'm pretty much satisfied at level 8 and didn't find the need to max this card out. The Miner really does a good job in low mana cap battles and is a real beast considering its main purpose is to destroy the enemy line-up backward.

A Final Note to keep things simple; Tell me in One Word Should I include KOBOLD MINER in my card collection?

It's a BIG YES.. And I say so because KOBOLD MINER is low Mana cap card. I've been observing that low Mana cap cards gain real value and you never know when these types of cards value spike up. So, if you are a person who loves to stack up low mana cards then I'll recommend KOBOLD MINER as well. Apart from being a low mana cap card, its super SNEAK ability cannot be ignored as you get it from the first card itself.
