Last week I posted about "GOBLIN SHAMAN". Here is the link to that post.
This week, lets learn about GIANT ROC:
From the Game Lore section :
From far away, a Roc may be mistaken for a normal bird, but once it comes closer its true size can be appreciated. These massive birds never stray from the Burning Lands, most likely due to the warm ground and favorable nesting conditions of the uninhabitable wasteland of The Unknown.
Roc is an enormous 'Bird Of Prey' in the mythology of Middle East. There is mentioning of Roc in Arabian fairy tales (One Thousand and One Nights including tales of Abd al-Rahman and Sinbad the Sailor ).
Roc also have presence in Indian epics Mahabharata and the Ramayana as Garuda.
Giant Roc is believe to be so huge that it can carry an elephant and other big animals for food.
It is believed that when it appears in the sky, it can cover the Sun and bring darkness during day time, and can also generate hurricanes with the wind blown by it's wing.
Marco Polo stated:
It was for all the world like an eagle, but one indeed of enormous size; so big in fact that its quills were twelve paces long and thick in proportion. And it is so strong that it will seize an elephant in its talons and carry him high into the air and drop him so that he is smashed to pieces; having so killed him, the bird swoops down on him and eats him at leisure.
Quick Facts about GIANT ROC:
