This week challenge

THEME: ELECTRIC EELS
Edition: PROMO
Rarity: RARE
Element: WATER
ATTACK: MELEE
ABILITIES: Reach at level 1; Blast at level 5

Attack🗡: 1🗡; increases to 2 🗡and 3 🗡 at levels 3 and 7 respectively.
Speed🐌: 3🐌; increase to 4🐌, 5🐌 and 6🐌 at levels 2, 6 and 8 respectively.
Health❤️: 5 ❤️; increases to 6❤️ and 7❤️ at levels 4 and 8 respectively.

Electric eels is one of the great monster in water deck. It costs low mana to play with reach ability to attack from the second position, high speed which can count on to attack in the early stage of the battle. Moreover electric eels level 5 comes with blast ability which is really dangerous to encounter.

With meelee mayhem rule, I can take the advantage of meelee monster can attack from any position. This is a good chance to use Elecric EEls and others meelee attacker from water deck.

Line up:

Brighton Bloom LV 2

Edition: DICE
Rarity: RARE
Element: DRAGON
ABILITIES: Flying
Brighton Bloom was choosen in this battle since I wanted to increase the chance evading meelee and ranged attack.

Tortisian Fighter

Edition: UNTAMED
Rarity: COMMON
Element: WATER
ATTACK: MELEE
ABILITIES: Shield at level 4; Repair at level 8

Tortisian Fighter, my good old mate.
With his moderate stability, he is my 1st choice to be picked when I ve got no idea which tank I will be used in the 1st position of the action zone.

  • Tortisian Fighter comes with 2🗡 2🐌 2🛡 3❤️

Electric Eels LV 3

Edition: PROMO
Rarity: RARE
Element: WATER
ATTACK: MELEE
ABILITIES: Reach at level 1; Blast at level 5

Here comes our monster of the day. Actually in this battle we can put electric eels anyway since meelee monster can attack from any position. I put him in the 2nd place anyway, expect his speed combining with flying ability can avoid most of the incoming attack in case of the first tank dies.

  • Electrics eels comes with 2🗡 4🐌 0🛡 5❤️

Feasting Seaweed LV 3

Edition: UNTAMED
Rarity: COMMON
Element: WATER
ATTACK: MELEE
ABILITIES: Opportunity at level 1; Scavenger at level 6

Feasting Seaweed is a great attacker in the water deck, his high attack combining with opportunity can easily slay the most weakest enemy in a blink of an eye. His only weakest is speed which can make he becomes the pray instead of the predator if the enemy also have the monster with opportunity skill with higher speed like Dragon jumper. I normally put him in the middle position to avoid some collateral damage from enemy's monster with blast ability.

  • Feasting Seaweed comes with 3🗡 1🐌
    0🛡 3❤️

Sabre Shark LV 2

Edition: BETA
Rarity: COMMON
Element: WATER
ATTACK: MELEE
ABILITIES: Sneak at level 1

Sabre Shark; sneaker of the sea. With his fast speed and high attack, he can easily slay the backline of the enemy if he don't carefully put some high health monster at the back. Another reason I put Sabre Shark in the team is that he will be my 2nd shield to protect the seaweed monster from monster with opportunity skill if Battering ram died. I normally put him in the middle position to avoid some collateral damage from enemy's monster with blast ability.

  • Sabre Shark comes with 2🗡 3🐌 0🛡 2❤️

Battering Ram LV 3

Edition: DICE
Rarity: COMMON
Element: NEUTRAL
ATTACK: MELEE
ABILITIES: Sneak at level 1; Shatter at level 6

Battering ram was picked in this battle due to his low mana cost and low health. Yeah, low health you heard me right. I put Battering Ram in this team to make hime be the lowest health monster in my team, so he will be my shield to protect the seaweed monster. With his level increase, he also increase in speed. Not bad for low mana monster to have this quick speed and opportunity skill. I normally put him in the middle position to avoid some collateral damage from enemy's monster with blast ability.

  • Battering Ram comes with 2🗡 3🐌 0🛡
    2❤️

Demented Shark LV 3

Edition: REWARD
Rarity: COMMON
Element: WATER
ATTACK: MELEE
ABILITIES: Inspire at level 1; Thorns at level 6

Demented Shark; fearsome creature of the sea. He inspires the rest of the team with additional one meelee bonus which is perfectly great for Meelee Mayham due to he also can attack from the backline. Since he got high health with some minor shield, I put him at the back end of the line to protect the attacker with sneak ability.

  • Demented Shark comes with 2🗡 3🐌 1🛡
    6❤️

Battle

The opponent team chose the fire deck with Pyre summoner along with Living Lava, Spirit Miner, Zalran Efreet, Dwarven Wizard, Creeping Ooze and Goblib Fireballer. Unfortunately most of the opponent used magic, so my plan to evade some ranged and meelee attack became daydreaming.😂 😂 😂

ROUND 1

image.png

My brave Tortisian Fighter died quicky from magic attack. The electric eels moved to the front row to confront with Living Lava. He evaded the ranged attack from Goblin Fireballer, the rest of attack were a direct hit to my poor eels. However, my assasin teams did a pretty great job, we had eliminated Dwarven Wizard, Creeping Ooze and Goblib Fireballer.

ROUND 2

image.png

At the begining of round 2, my poor Eels died. To seek a revenge for him, We managed to take down Zalran Efreet.

ROUND 3

image.png

At the begining of round 3, Sabre Shark took a direct hit from Spirit Miner; poor little shark. Luckily, Battering Ram evaded the direct hit from the Living Lava.

ROUND 4

image.png
At the begining of round 4, Battering Ram fall down from a direct hit from Spirit Miner. The big boss shark managed to slay the Living Lava.

ROUND 5

image.png
Finally, solo battle between Spirit Miner and Demented Shark; Demented Shark won the war with 2 health ❤️ left. A nice victory for the animal team.

Questions and Answers:

  1. Did my strategy work?
This strategy almost didn't work on this battle, since my plan was to use the benefit from Flying ability and high speed of the Electric Eels to evade most of the attack, but most of the attacker were using magic, so the plan was not quite good. However, the rest of the team with opportunity and sneak abilities did great jobs by finishing the behind enemy line.

  2. What will you try differently next time?
Next time, I might consider some low mana monster with higher health ❤️ like Spineback Turtle or Battle Orca to stand in the front line a bit longer.

  3. Do you like the ELECTRIC EELS? Why or why not?
I barely use ELECTRIC EELS in most battle ,since I prefer to use monster with sneak or opportunity more than reach ability. Moreover, in order to gain full advantage; Electric Eels should be used when at least reach LV 5 to gain blast ability which will create a great damage to the enemy. But the answer to this question is YES, I like ELECTRIC EELS, its high speed combine with high damage and blast ability make him great to be fit on the second position of the team.

It's a dangerous game playing a deck that assumes you're opponent's going to use the Melee monsters - the poker player would most likely play magic to double bluff you.

I've been caught out by that, and won by playing it on several occasions.

Still, a win is a win!

I agreee with you, not a safe move to play with a fixed mind.
Thank you for your advice, cheers!!
