Splinterlands

Splinterlands is the cutting-edge of crypto-gaming and it’s very easy to see why. With a variety of useful websites supporting the game, a fresh and highly profitable tournament system, and their first Set about to sell out Splinterlands is soaring. While traditional Library-and-Hand card games are great the Battle Line game style have a ton of bonuses. My single favorite part of Splinterlands is this system, it makes everything a lot simpler in the long-run. While the rules are a bit too in-depth to spell out here the result are needing fewer cards, playing more diverse decks, and more games feeling completely different than the one before it.

I’d love to do multiple deep-dives on Splinterlands and why you should be playing it but for now just take my word for it: Start building your collection now because Splinterlands ain’t going nowhere and it’s already a massive success. If you have been kicking yourself about selling your childhood Magic the Gathering before the prices sky-rocketed, this is your second chance. Every day you wait is a daily quest you are mission out on.

Rising Star
Rising Star is still the most underestimated title in the crypto-gaming scene. What at first view appears to be a very simple timer game is really just about the closes thing we have to a true Crypto-MMORPG. Over the course of your career you will be a solo performer, recruit your band, build your skill and fan base, and move your way up to icon status.

That’s when Rising Star takes your expectations and shreds them: Music Promoter, Flea Market rat, you can even just start playing for BEER. Rising Star is expanding faster than anyone but the most cunning players can keep up with. This is another game that I wish I could be doing a deep dive on right now. For now, get in there and start leveling! Those drunk fans are gonna sober up soon!

eXode
Ladies and Gentlemen, we have lift of! eXode earns it’s place above other games that honestly have more content and play-ability right now based on the level of polish it has demonstrated in some areas even while other aspects of the game are nearly unusable.

I’m gonna break it down quickly:
The cards look great, the gameplay loop is more ambitions than any other game, and I honestly believe eXode is speeding towards success. That said, the UI and gameplay is in Alpha, the market is not quite there, and this is one of the hardest crypto-games to pick up in the market. If you are looking to get in on the ground floor of the a games that’s going to be massive eXode is my recommendation for you.

Lost Relics
The story of Lost Relics Lost Relics is a lot like the story of Etherium. It’s a revolutionary project with a massive hardworking genius at the wheel. It also has the best gameplay in crypto-gaming as far as I’m concerned with it’s super approachable Diablo meets RuneScape gameplay loop.

Games like Lost Relics Lost Relics and coins like ENJIN are the future. When the ETH network was super congested I still paid for MULTIPLE transactions to acquire a collection a multiverse weapons (NFT game items that you can use in multiple games). The only thing stopping Lost Relics from being on the next generation of gaming consoles is going t be the creators current lack of a team and, you know what, I trust them. I was extremely impressed with how the challenge of the entire goddamn game crashing for nearly a week before the Easter Event lead to an amazing level of communication, honesty, ultimatly one of the most fun events I’ve experienced in in years. Not bad for a game in Alpha.

#5 Alien Worlds
There are strong arguments for a lot of games taking this spot right now but personality I’m still enjoying Alien Worlds the most. Whats the main problem here? Well, it’s only a button. The pitch though? One of the first games with a connection to an institutional powerhouse like Binance and and extremely slow steady build.

unknown.png

With a very small amount of crypto you can join the fun and start blowing apart the planet of your choice in search of TLM of NFTs. If you feel like a lot of this is still feeling pretty over your head Alien Worlds offers the simple yet complex rule-set you can still enter extremely early. You even get to decide if you want to start stacking in-game currency, items and minions (NFTs), or just selling anything that shines for crypto.

GAMES IM CHEERING ON
Cmon Neon District, please do something so I can justify the amount of my attention that goes to cyberpunk pizza delivery. UpLand is still alive and doing all kinds of things I’d likely be able to tell you more about if I like real estate games. If you arn’ trying to overthink it and are just some whale who’s looking to spend a bunch on assets in a game that’s coming out later this year is going to be a massive success Dr Who Worlds Apart is the goose laying those golden eggs. One of the first crypto-games having an IP like this is the kind of auto-win cheat code we saw in the NBA and random celebrity NFT. Freebitco.in and Synergy of Sierra are still my favorite daily checks and watching a number just go up is always something I have enjoyed. ChainMonsters entered pre-alpha or something and feel impressive. If they are able to be the first NFT monster battler not even the stars are the limit. While I’m not yet convinced I’m rooting for them as their recent full art-style redesign shows a level of investment not present in other projects.

I hope this is helpful for all of you. I recently had a cross country move and have been very very busy. I really appreciate the support you’ve sent my way along to line. If you are a fan of a game that was not mentioned here, please let me know and I will take a look at it. If you are a developer who is working on a crypto-gaming project that I should know about, please reach out! And as always, if you find these articles useful please let me know! Stay safe out there yall!

Thank you so much! While I try and make each article an improvment on the last there is also some bit or piece of info that would make reading the earlier ones helpful. If you play Splinterlands I have a variety of articles on playing for cheap :)
