Splinterlands Challenge of the Week - Water Elemental

Hello Splinter Fans! Today I come to show at the Challenge of the Week a little old battle that was saved waiting for this occasion...

It was played a little time after the Close Range ruleset was launched and I was looking forward to experimenting, so I tried to use the Water Elemental in the first position as a Tank.

Due to his speed, Dodge ability, high damage, and self-healing ability, he can work well as a Tank in this ruleset but has the drawback if he is vulnerable to magic.

For this reason, my decision was quite risky, and I don't know if I would play like this today, after all even being able to attack in the first position, why not still be more cautious?

Fortunately for me, it worked, and the Water Elemental can survive until the end of the fight, having a super amazing performance!

The Battle!

Manacap: 32/ Rulesets:

Earthquake: Non-flying Monsters take 2 Melee damage at the end of each round.

Close Range: Ranged attacks may be used in the first position in battles.

My opponent used a rare summoner, while I used a legendary. Of course, that was a big advantage for me, even so, he chose good cards, and the fight was quite fierce.

Due to their healing cards, Divine Healer and Angel of Light, which also has Resurrect, your tank Lord Arianthus (a good choice against magic) can survive long enough so that your sharp Sneak cards: Silvershield Assassin and Feral Spirit to destroy almost all of my monsters.

We can see that the defeat was by a thread and that the Water Elemental was only 2 hit points on 2 occasions, being saved by his healing, and still had to use several dodges against stabbings and arrows to survive and take me the victory.

The Prismatic Energy delivered the final blow, but in this battle, the Water Elemental was certainly the great hero!

the water elemental is indeed the hero of the match, judging the opponent many monsters compared to your two monsters, no doubt elemental with his healing and dodge saved the day.. you rock it.!
