Sabre Shark Weekly Battle Challenge || Ep. #41 || Splinterlands

This week's battle challenge focuses on the Sabre Shark.

Sabre Sharks can smell a potential meal underwater from a mile away, and their prey never hears them coming. Though these sharks are heavily concentrated in ΛZMΛRÉ, they can be found anywhere in the Splinterlands. These sharks are deadly enough, but they are a full fifty times smaller than their cousin, the Megalodon.

Card

A Beta/Alpha common level monster from the Water Splinter at level 5:

  • Estimated costs: $1.03
  • Melee damage: 3
  • Speed: 4
  • Health: 3
  • Sneak ability: Targets the last Monster on the enemy Team instead of the first Monster.

The splinterlands team have been loving the alpha/beta cards of late, and this week we have another one of these cards. The Sabre Shark is not a card I often use and mainly use it in low mana cost battles and especially when I want to exploit the double sneak in combination with Elven Cutthroat. Bang for buck, the Sabre Shark, has decent stats and for what it costs at level 5, you cannot go wrong by including it in your Water Splinter card collection.

Battle Details

  • Mana cap: 23
  • Ruleset: Unprotected

It took me a couple of losses before I was able to find a battle that could showcase the Sabre Shark and the potential of the sneak ability. If I am honest, the battle was a total mismatch, and I don't think I won because of my strategy but merely that my cards were more powerful. Nonetheless, the battle showcases the usefulness the Sabre Shark can add to your monster line-up. The sneak ability is potent, and the Sabre Shark was able to deal three killing blows while being supported by the rest of the monster line-up.
